Received 8 PowerGenix NiZn batteries a few weeks ago and got around to testing them yesterday.
These have never been used. Straight out of the package.
Very disappointing. 900mWh rated (560mAh)
Before I purchased these also bought some NiZn AAA Ultracells and they actually had better capacity. I expected the PowerGenix to be better.
They were cycled twice and the capacity was lower on the 2nd cycle.
Charged to 1.90v at 0.5mA current then discharged to 1.20v at 0.5mA
Yeah, I have 4, err 3 one died when discharged too low, not worth the bother.

Mostly agree. They do work wonders in VERY low drain apps where they never go below about 1.2v.
FAR better than eneloops or NiMh in the right circumstances……
But for most people, most of the time……I agree….these are not worth it.
Surprisingly, the Orange and purple UltraCells had better capacity.
nizn are fragile.
probably why powergenix is gone and their stock was dumped in biglots stores years back.
those are very old now.
That makes perfect sense.
I’m not buying any more.
