Wallbuys cheap zoomie is great!

Received my New Year Wallbuys purchases.

Bought 2 of the cheap zoomie which was identified as Ultrafire 838.

Also bought the Ultrafire UF-T20 during the sale.

  • Flood area for Ultrafire 838 is larger than UF-T20, but is less intense.
  • Pull-push zoom on the Ultrafire 838, rather than the twist/turn-to-zoom on UF-T20.
  • But why does it have next mode memory!
  • But UF-T20 has one of the largest aspheric lens I’ve seen!
  • The light from UF-T20 is much brighter but a larger flood area would be good.

Anyway, the Ultrafire 838 is great with the usual 5 modes (H/M/L/Strobe/SOS) but I dislike the huge XML-T6 logo on its body.

Here’s a previous thread on removing the next-mode on this light:

By adding a high resistance resistor?

Too much work :stuck_out_tongue: But I might try it when I have more knowledge.

I prefer suggestions for a similar (low-priced) zoomie
