Being kinda new here, I have saw this and have an idea how it works, but have never tried it.
Can someone explain the when’s, what’s and how’s of it?
Stuff goes on sale at a specific time. Those who buy the limited amount of units fastest get them. When the button 'lights up', click it, get past the Captcha, and pay soon or they remove it from your cart.
I think its more: specified items go on sale at a time you forget to check in for. After remembering and finding a couple rounds of items already passed you by, waste time waiting until the next hour where you click and enter captcha as fast as you can and find there is no more available of that item, try another with the same result. Then sit there for another hour waiting for the next one, repeat entering captcha and finding there is no more left. Repeat as many hours as you’d like!
This stuff has also been pointed out to be returns, used, defective products, manufacture/WB repaired crap, etc…… its REALLY NOT WORTH IT!!! You can find just as good deals searching elsewhere
Sounds like a great way to waste time and money.
Not sure about the product quality. It’s more like a hyper-sensationalist sales pitching hype.
I don't know about how good the idea is, but I did manage to buy a couple of lights at prices far lower than anywhere I could find them, like 50% lower and the lights were new in the boxes. I don't favor the method, but it was one way to get them at budget prices.
+1.
I won two lights at quite low price with new in box condition.
if price is normal maybe I will not buy such lights.
the promotion is challenging. If the kill time is on your leisure, why not give a try.
They are usually NEW products.. not returns.. even though sometimes they might look like it.
I've got quite a few of these lights, all flawless, and CHEAPER than anywhere else.
But you jut need to know which ones are good deals.. I can type tons of lights at crazy prices they sold.....but that takes too long. I also admit that the latest instant kills weren't as good as the ones earlier this year and especially last year around Christmas, those were crazy good deals...
I have never seen a Olight i6 anywhere for $10.99. I wouldn’t mind seeing that deal again.
I tried once, back when the deals were good and won nothing, went as described…for most everyone but a small number (usually there are only 1, 2 or 3 of the item to ‘win’ and who knows how many online trying). I didnt really try since the first one, since I’m usually at a slower internet connection when they happen. And now the deals are not really very good at all anyways.
I disagree.
The above has been said before, and it was roundly refuted by others. I’ll take a turn now…
I’m not terribly fond of WB and I don’t particularly like some of the marketing games they have played recently. That said, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on their Instant Kill sales because they were good deals, not easily found elsewhere, if at all. Every item paid for has arrived in perfect or near perfect condition. The only faults I could find were a lack of lubrication and the odd missing o-ring. If these were truly used, defective or refurbished products, where are the complaints? Surely if it were as you say, there would be many, and they would be loud.
If you’ve had a bad experience with WB, call them out on it. If you don’t like their business practices, say so. If you just couldn’t type the captcha fast enough, complain about that too! Maybe your complaints will be heard and WB will learn something. But repeating vague statements and old rumours made by others doesn’t help anyone.
