Warm "throwy" 3V emitter between 3000K-4000K?

Not sure who actually sells it, just going off the datasheet.

Another idea is to go full jank mode, get a Osram white flat and slide a CCT-reducing Lee filter over it, lol

Surprised no one has mentioned the SFS80 3535 LED in 4000K with a max drive current of 8A

Kaidomain were selling it, but their website looks to be down. I have one and it’s very decent.

Just checked their AliExpress store and it’s available on there

Slicing their domes solves both issues!

That is indeed interesting, I can’t seem to find any tests comparing it to an XP-L Hi…?

Digi-key and Mouser both have 3000k and 4000k XP-P in stock. Digi-Key has all of the color temperatures in stock now. Mouser only has 3k and 4k at the moment. 3k and 4k are available in 70 and 80 CRI from both sellers. All other color temperatures are presently 65 or 70 CRI only. No 90 CRI variants are available yet.

One can get some ballpark estimates. The emitter is advertised at 1800 lumens, presumably for the cool 6500K version. The 4000K version is probably at most 85% of that (being generous), say 1530. The die size is between XPL HI and XHP35 HI, and almost the same as a sliced LH351D, which has been measured at 5mm^2. A 4mm^2 (XPL HI sized) die with the same intensity would thus output 1530*4/5=1224 lumens.

Even an old XPL HI at 4000K can beat that number, not to mention the new gen.

Thanks for the suggestion, will take a look at it
