Well I Bought Me One Last Flashlight

Thanks for all your contributions to BLF. Stay healthy and safe, and drop in every once in a while to let us know how things are going

Hope to see you around here Brad, sometime in the future. You always have interesting things to post. Enjoy that last flashlight, it sounds like it should be a light cannon.

Thanks for everything you have done for us here Brad. Life does go on and a new chapters start and finish all the time. To you and your family I wish you all only the best. I’m looking forward to the last shots here off your new light (what a bang to go out with). Stay healthy and enjoy life. Cheers, DNF.

I’d love to see the beamshots of that new flashlight too, but I really hope that’s not going to be your last beamshots post here.
At least, please post some comment around if you have time.

I'm looking forward to your last beam shots, I always enjoyed reading those posts, take care!

Well, don’t be gone altogether. Stop back in and keep with things. You may gradually find a tacit interest just sort of hangs on.

I'd say to all who think they need to get the next best hottest greatest light that they are just kiddingthemselves and IF in a moment of clarity ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS has found the desire to stop chasing his tail then more power to him .

Thanks for being a friend ,thanks for being a good BLF member and thanks for the lights .

Don't be a stranger

Saving can become addictive too - investing even more so. I foresee him trading penny stocks in the near future.

In all honesty, I sometimes wonder how many in this community have their finances in line. I read about someone waiting for the next pay check to buy a flashlight?!?

ILF, I think you just need to play the middle ground if possible. Spend only X% of your slush money.

Yep, self control is definitely the key with this hobby. I look WAY more than I buy, but still REALLY enjoy the hobby. I usually wait for holidays or birthdays for my purchases. And I typically appreciate them a little more. My 2 cents.

Brad, hope all is well. I may be trying to match that TN31 mod, but think I'll be happy to make 400 kcd... Just got the TN31 in today to mod, but gotta get past 1st base - opening her up with the strap wrench's... 480K is truly insane for an XM-L2, but as a host, the TN31 seems to be best there is for a middle tier light.

Sounds like a real monster ILF, nice choice.

The hunger kept him up at night

The compulsion he tried hard to fight

This bad habit he'd kick

And he thought he'd be sick

If he couldn't buy just one more light ...

Good luck with whatever you move onto. I for one have really enjoyed everything you put into this forum and all the regulars, like yourself, make it what it is. It truly is upsetting to watch one move on.

ILF, hope to see you in future when flashlights output are all 10k to 50k lumens.

live long and prosper….cant believe your going when the next big thing just hit the market…mt-g2’s!

People change and grow, and move on... Some a little faster than others. It's a little saddening to see, but it's good of you to let us know. All the best to you ILF.

ILF has decided to go be a Danielle Bradbery groupie and chase her around the country in a VW microbus

And I didn’t mean that negative to you guys. All of you guys are my true friends. And I love ya!

I got the 480K TN31 vinhnguyen54 mod today. Guys I’m gonna be as honest as I can be and blunt and to the point. This thing kicks ass. It’s about 4 times brighter than my BTU Shocker. I let my mom hold my BTU and shine it on the wall, and I shined the vinhnguyen54 modded TN31 on top of it and there simply is no more BTU beam. I’m gonna say that Vinh is one of the best at what he does. You guys need to honestly quit wasting your time with all the other throwers out there and just buy one of these after he mods it. His normal price is $180 I believe. I got a better deal since I sold him both my TN31’s at great prices. I actually got back the TN31 I bought from masha_1 on here. It’s still mint too.

Vinh,

I am truly impressed with your work. I have never seen a better mod job or a brighter flashlight. This light is probably 5 yrs ahead of its time. Thanks you sir.

Brad

And yes I will take a beamshot later on. This thing is gonna throw like no tomorrow.

Does anbody know what the meter distance in throw 480K figures out to be at .25 lux?

Oh and I forgot about the tint. It’s a natural tint. How he does that is beyond me.

480kcd is 1,385.64 meters to moonlight.

Is this your first dedomed XML2 light? Because they’re all like that  I’ve got my TN31 at around 365kcd which is good enough for me (1.2 kilometers) and yeah, it really does satisfy your wants for a super thrower.
