WF-504B Silver Where can get?

Hi and greetings

I’m search for a good WF-504B possible in warm white led tint and 3/5 modes
I admit I like much style and mirror of this torch
a lot of store like DX,Wallbuys,FT etc…
but wich have a better quality?
I prefer to have runtime and good heatsink
so better get direct to xml-t6 or XPG-R5, XR-E ?
plus there is MC-E led version available

and read that this led have some advantage like choise Led tint

candlepowerforum

so wich a good choise?

Hi,

I think that the 504B is a P60 host, which means that it would be able to work with any P60-compatible drop-ins. This means that if you like the 504B style, you can get any one of them and then find a P60 drop-in with the emitter/driver that you want.

I think that the MC-E emitter is a pretty old one. If I was going to do this today, I’d get a 504B host, and probably go look for a P60 drop-in that had an XM-L2 emitter with an OP reflector, or an XP-G2 emitter with an SMO reflector if I wanted throw, that was driven well.

On the other hand, if I was looking for a P60 host today, I’d probably go for a Solarforce L2M, which can be configured to use an 1 x 18650 (like the 504B does) or 1 x 16340, and one of the Solarforce XM-L2 drop-ins :)…

I bought 2 of these at the first Christmas blowout sale and they had a very powerful T6 drop in. I can’t guarantee yours will be as good as the ones I got then, but none the less at $16.54 you could always change the P60 drop in to something else.
Finish is good, lens is clear.

Here is the link, NON-AFFILIATE as always;

Here is also one listed as having XM-L2 at GearBest under the Kinfire label for $17.27;

The 504 is identical to the SolarForce L2 but I’ll wager that the L2 is a better host based on tons of threads and reviews. In fact several reviewers have even given the L2 equal status to its forefather the Surefire 6P, it is that good.

Have you looked at Int’l Outdoor Store? Hank carries plenty of drivers, LED and p60 drop-in parts. If you want a warm drop-in consider the Noctigon Sink-Pad XM16 7B4 emitter [80+ CRI/ 3000-3125K] or a Nichia 219 BT on a Noctigon Sink-Pad. Add either the Njing 105 or Qlite RevA driver for multiple modes. Hank stocks drop-in pill/reflectors too.

The Intl-outdoor drop in is much better driven (brighter) than the Solarforce ones. It pulls a steady 3 amps compared to the solarforce’s 2.2 (ish). Just my 2 cents.

I have a few drop-in flashlights with this form factor: 1x 504 black, 2x 504 silver (one with a XM-L, one with a XR-E - my first 18650 flashlight ever (bought it 5-6 yaers ago), 1x Uniquefire L2 (same as the 504), 2x Solarforce L2 (black and silver), L2p (blue), L2m, L2n and a few more - yes I like drop-in flashlights. I prefer not black flashlights.

Solarforce flashlighst have a better quality as the Ultrafire, Uniquefire. Better HA, no scrachtes out of the box, better switch and threads. Fells better and all parts are interchangeable with each other Solarforce.

But I have to say, the Ultrafire 504, which is 5-6 years old, works really good. I fall a few times on stone and concrete, 2-3 times in the water filled basin (fish it out within 5 seconds) and it work like on the first day.
A few things are interchangeable with some Solarforce flashlights but not all or with any.
The picture shows a tan Solarforce L2, the blue L2P and a silver and black 504. The heads are interchangeable, but the switch not - there is a small gap (noticeable at the blue black flashlight)

If you want a flashlights and small scratches would be ok and you want a non-black flashlight, go for the 504.
If you want a black flashlights or a better built quality, the L2m give you some nice options (price incl. shipping for the host under $14).

The 504 with a XM-L, 5 mode and wit a little bit better price as wallbuys (both are the same - ignore tzhe 450 or 510 lumens - often the manufacturer use the drivers they get. One batch the one, next batch a another one - often 2A-2,5A on high:

or you try the Gearbest link and maybe it is possible to get it without the crap charger and battery for $1-2 less.

Host $7.68

More runtime and good driven than lumens are prefer.
Which of yours WF504 or L2 are these specs?
(including most Led Warm tint possible that’s important for me)
and where did you buy it?
for charger and battery I usually use from model hobby,
so no problem

Sorry for my delay Alen.
I don't prefer warm white (I like NW, CW would be ok in some cases, warmwhite is a no go for me), so I couldn't help to find the best warmwhite tint deal.

I haven't seen a complete genuine L2 in silver for a long time (last time 1-2 years ago) - I mean for a good price. I think the price was round about $11-13.
You can get one in the USA for $25 (shipping to Europe is expensive - round about $15: $40 is to much for a L2. For $40 I can get better flashlights). Kaidomain sell a genuine looking L2 with a Cree ER-E R2 for $34,93. This is not a good price, but if you want a genuine so bad an option.
Often the silver are called grey or gunmetal grey or something like this. For $25 I would buy a blue L2p (I love blue and this is the reason, why I have one). The L2p is also avialable in gold, black and grey (real grey - not silver).

Many HongKong shops offer silver "L2" or "L2m), which are not genuine. The genuine L2 and L2m could not tailstand - if you find one which can, I would say 99% copy chance, 1% genuine if you get it from a collector - I think there was a tailstandable switch, which could be bought separate. If you find a HongKong shop, which offers a tailstandable L2 out off the box I would say: 100% clone.

The copy L2/L2m aren't bad (I got a L2 copy one year ago, because I couldn't get another genuine L2). The quality isn't as good as a genuine, but a good solution. The head of Solarforce flashlight fits, but the tailcap not 100% similar as the 504. The built quality is a bit better as my 504.

I write this and now a new idea come up in my mind: A black one and remove the HA surface (for example with drain pipe cleaner - do this outside, never in a room beacuse of the acrid fumes). I haven't done this until now, but a few others with Ultrafire and some with a Solarforce. The HA of Solarforce is better as Ultrafire or other cheap companies and it take longer to remove it.

Is the surface of a removed HA flashlight better as a copy L2 in silver? I don't know.
If you want to play Solarforce Lego (combine other heads, switches) you have to buy a genuine. If not a copy Solarforce L2 could be ok and have the advantage of tailstandable and reverse clicky - price round about $10-11 (I have a not tailstandable forward ckicky, which switched on in my backpack. After 1-2 hours I need something out of the pack and saw the light). Now I take only reverse clicky tailstandable flashlights in my backpack.
A forwardclicky is in a holster on my belt.

Link to a 504 body: Take a look at GJ post $7,68 (shop lightake). link to genuine Solarforce black (Solarforce-sales) to remove the HA incl shipping $14, copy L2 in silver (shop focalprice) for $9,79 (with the coupon code RMN7 only $9,10 - expire 31. May).
