What are the differences between Acebeam k75 and K75 2.0?

Looking at the acebeam page and comparing the two using the search bar, it looks like both lights have the same specs. Is it just a cosmetic difference or is there actually an improvement?
Im thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these lights to go with my X75. From the pictures on the main website i think i like the original styling better. Please help me make a decision!

I was wondering the same thing.

I agree the original looked better. I also think the cooling fins on the new design appear to be in a less-useful spot being moved further to the front away from the driver.

Could it be because the led generates more heat than the driver?

Maybe, but it still seems to me that the heat would build up closer to the driver/led than where they actually put the cooling fins. Maybe they did tests with thermal imaging and this is actually the best configuration. It’s just really hard to believe that looking at it

Someone on another forum just asked me yesterday if I knew the difference between version 1 and 2, and I also could find no differences in the specs.
I have the original version, and I also like the looks of the original better. If anything, the cooling fins look deeper and possibly taking up more area on the original, possibly being more effective.
Maybe Acebeam would answer the question if someone emailed them at info@acebeam.com. I’d inquire if I was looking to purchase, but I already have mine and have no interest in replacing it at this point in time. It looks like battery junction has both versions available.

Its been told to me directly from Acebeam that the changes are merely cosmetic.

What a goofy change. The original light looks a lot better. 2.0? More like 0.75 !
