Just got done modifying my PM2 CruCarta. Had to harvest the liner from my other PM2.
Flytanium Lotus scales - Cerakoted red with pearl
Titanium hardware - Cerakoted copper
… and Tanto Tuesday with this modified Z-82.
… on the fence for N690 and CF/G10 for $35???
Does it need to shine your shoes and give you a back rub?
Anyway, carries for the last couple of days: modified Mims and modified Voltaic.
Now you comment?! You had the chance to dissuade me.
I almost never drink soda but this is an exquisite pairing.
I’ve got a Voltaic that I’ve damn near forgotten about. Need to pull that beauty out and put it to use!
carried the Tanto today. a friend makes these a pair at a time.
they are injection molded from a composite glass filled nylon blend.
no metal. relatively sharp. good as box-cutters or letter openers.
i mainly use them as digging tools while metal detecting.
Way to go!
I’m carrying an earlier version of the Trivisa Lynx in 14C28N. I also tried pairing a Red Dot with a White Cuban (White Russian but rum instead of vodka). It wasn’t magic like the cream soda but not bad. The mouth-coating effect of the cream is a factor… Something darker might be better…
Thank you.
The price is the same as what Amazon sells the Cryo II for (never buy those from Amazon due to forgeries) and the Gemini is definitely a nicer, lighter knife. Good experience, so far.
I recently got this Kizer Agressor in 3V with Richlite scales for cheap in the Kizer sale, and I’m not sure how the designer (Assassin Knives) came up with this scale design, but the thickness makes the knife too chunky and the contouring is IMO ugly and feels unpleasant. Oh, and the lanyard hole is ugly too.
Luckily, Richlite is very easy to modify so with sandpaper (first 80 grit for fast material removal, then 180 grit, then 600) I made the knife a lot leaner and very pleasant to handle. (I just noticed above in this thread that Chronovore had done a similar thing to his micarta version)
So today’s EDC:
