OMG that sucks. First Techno I pulled up on eBay was $156. I take it that they find a way to screw you on customs?
Buying from the U.S is possible but i wouldnāt order a flipper as customs are particularly stringent with orders from America and they often just class them as gravity knives.
There are sites like KnifeCentre.com who ship to the UK for around $16 apparently, bringing the total to just over $207 for a Techno but no doubt there would be customs charges, VAT & duty added to that at this end, i donāt know how much though. I havenāt looked into it but there may be a saving to be had over the other sites.

EU isnāt a happy place to buy Spydercos or none imported, any american brand etc, cold steel, gerber, ontario, NONE. Thats the reason because chinese knives are welcome, free shipping and no taxes. Imported knives are double the price from origin.

I grabbed a Decepticon 2 copy from AE. The fit & finish is excellent and it flips like a charm out of the box. The action is also very smooth thanks to the bearings. The only con I could find is the sharpness of the inner edges of titanium handle slabs (it can be fixed by some sandpaper work easily).
All I can find on it isā¦. it looks to be a Navy copy of a Byrd Flat Byrd.

I bought a couple different folders from both stores I linked on my blog the previous years.
I have no idea wether they accept paypal or not, you should asked them. For me the payment - dispute system of AE gives more confidence (the payment is released to the seller after you confirm the arrival of the order).
This will actually be my EDC tomorrow, having just fixed it up with a nice diamond knot lanyard with some square brown leather 3mm cord and a bead from 8steve88
