What blade did you EDC today?

Thanks! :slight_smile:
I hope some day I can grab the Zombie Edition too! :heart_eyes:

Now that's a good-lookin' knife! ;)

Kershaw Shield!

Nice one! What are your initial impressions?

still trying to buff off the grey DLC coating, man thats one tough coating!

First of all, I'm strange, and I only like Kershaw assisted-openers.

I have at least a dozen, and this is the most beautiful one.

The handle is stainless steel, and it has a sweet Titanium Carbo-Nitride coating.

The blade has a lovely stonewashed finish. I like the shape of the handle and the blade.

The knife has a pretty long clip and I like that.

I can't open the knife one-handed with the thumb studs, so I'll be removing those.

My only real complaint is that it's sometimes difficult to close the knife, but this problem might disappear over time.

Overall, me likey. :)

Today, Texas Tiny Toothpick from Case.

Did the Shield come centered? Looks pretty sweet. Itā€™ll be hard to pass that one up!

Yes, the shield is pretty centered but the blade is not perfectly centered.

I meant the Kershaw Shield, but the Case is pretty nice too. When I got separated, the wife claimed a Kershaw Brawler and a Case out of my collection.

Ah, sorry for being mistaken and sorry to hear your story.

It's not perfectly centered.

The only two centered Kershaws Iā€™ve ever seen were USA made. I got my brother a Link made just down the street from here in Tualatin, Oregon, and it was perfect. My Skyline is perfectly centered but came with part of the tip broken off.

I love their Chinese assisted flippers but they have too many fit and finish issues for me. All mine have been gifted, though I shouldā€™ve kept the Freefall. I guess what I really want is a ZT lol.

And thanks for the empathy, sandalian.

I was thinking a while and found the reason why I thought Racer asked about my case knife.

When you asked about the shield, Iā€™m thinking about my case knifeā€™s shield, that plate with case logo :party:

Yep, I love knives and knife terminology. On some knives itā€™s an actual shield. I love the bolsters on that Texas toothpick. Another good terminology word. I started with flashlights and itā€™s still a big hobby for me, but knives arenā€™t obsolete if you take it out of the knife roll a year later :slight_smile:

I found an old cub scout knife buried in the sand at the lake a year or so ago, pretty rusted but not as bad as one would think. Lake levels were way down so where I found it hadnā€™t been exposed in many many years, coulda been out there a very long time. Cleaned up pretty nice and is operable now. Couldnā€™t believe it!

Itā€™s a 3 bladed Kabar, didnā€™t even know they made such a thing.

Congrats!
I would love to see the picture.

Showing itā€™s age, but the blades still snap into the frame on their own, very much surprised me there.

And itā€™s a 4 blade, obviously, didnā€™t look close enoughā€¦

sorry, didnā€™t get fancy with the pics just grabbed up the point and shoot and fired away! lol

Nice! I had the mail lady give me a vintage knife one time. Sheā€™s like ā€œhere, I know you collect knives because I bring them to your door every day.ā€ :slight_smile:

@DB Custom
Thatā€™s beautiful.

@Racer
Wow, thatā€™s a nice lady.
