What did you do today?

Alfred, thanks man. There's a supermarket literally 1500ft from my house. If I can get out of bed, I just might take a walk over there.

Its funny that i have been drinking this stuff for years and they finally did an article on it in Sports Illustrated lol. Who needs Gatorade or Powerade, Coconut all the way.

Coconut water or juice?

Has to be Water....not juice.

Thanks bud. I'll check it out :)

No problem and stock up on them there good for one's health. http://vitacoco.com/?gclid=CJqnxrykp6sCFcNM4AodJH7O3A

first tried to fit an xm-l on 16mm base to AA one mode light from DX (don't remember which one exactly it is) to replace x-re

after an hour of hand grinding it finally went in

it did work with 14500 but not with AA anymore

after close inspection I have found that one of the traces on the mcpcb was lifted and probably causing a short

so I took out my uf-2100 from DD and tried to get another xm-l from it (it's cool and I have a warm one on my way) but it went wrong -the emmiter just poped of the mcpcb on the carpet :)

I found it and reflowed it back in the kitchen on a pan

grinded it a little and it works! both AA (still not too brigt) and with 14500 (pocket rocket) :)

Today I've realized Quark Mini's will not come apart. I've just destroyed 2 of them. The threadlocker they use is superhuman. I thought that there HAD to be a way but I've tried everything. The damn things even bent my pliers! So much for my plan of a neutral XM-L Mini AA.

Just modded my Keygos KE5 with a warm white XM-L led. Will be testing color rendering outdoors tonight.

Put a driver in Foys F15 while trying to stay comfortable after having four 6 inch epidural needles jammed in my back.

Ouch!

Finally built and mounted my 35w hid road bike light.

Made a 3 mode high, low, strobe P-60 weapon light drop in. Direct drive 1A U2 XML. Pulls 3.7 amps on high and has the most blinding strobe I have ever seen on a single emitter light. Now which gun does it go on, I am thinking shorty pistol grip shotgun........... maybe.

The ever elusive P-60 drop in headlamp finally got assembled today. It is a Small Sun ZY1801A if anyone is interested in getting one. Here is a stolen picture from CPF, sorry I didn't take pictures. The trick to getting it apart is the reflector cover, the top one with the glass in it is reverse thread. I stuck an XML with a AK47 driver 1.4amps in it now it just needs some real batteries. Make sure you wrap the drop in good with foil it is very loose. I actually had to file a little bit of the pill down to get it to seat into the body of the headlamp. It works really good, once I get a 18650 on there I will put a 2.8 amp XML in it.

The reflector and the piece to the left of it gets discarded and the P-60 drop in goes in place of them.

Made a P-60 Drop in with a Shiningbeam T5 4B, very nice I like it a lot.

Got some of those today myself (along with R5 neutral XP-Gs)

Didn't mess with those today though. I took a little time tonight to fix my Skyray 3800 AGAIN. One of the LEDs went poof. Took the opportunity to practice reflowing. I had a bare emitter that I took out of my X9 so I just pulled the dead one off the PCB and replaced it. Buttoned her back up and she's better than new. Well... atleast I don't have to worry about the driver going bad.

I'm running it direct drive on 3 A123 18650s and its running right around 2.5A. LiFe and XM-L play nicely. :)

Got up early, had my coffee and still drinking more. Did laundry and now i am browsing at lights that i would like to own....lol. Wife rolling her eyes at me of course......

Today I put together a new gun belt I've been in need of. Good harness leather and brass buckle. A little custom tooling, some black dye (black finger tips to go with it), gloss protectant glaze and edge sealer. Nicest belt I've ever owned!

Today I studied, studied, studied with the girlfriend, while occasionally sneaking peeks at BLF and info on my next light (Nitecore TM ;) hehehe. If I can save up some spare monies that is lol.

I used 10-layer diffuser in my worklight, L2m with 1,4A 3mode XM-L.

I have a two-way clip in it so occasionally I use it as a headlamp (clip it to my Peltor´s).

Just WOW. I had to go in a bunker which has some seawater pumps in moist, concrete surrounded, rusty place with no lights at all. Had to do some maintenance there.

Really does make a difference to me to have a seamless flood almost like 160°. Easier for eyes IMO.

When I came down, there were 1x Ledlensed with some luxeon (118lumen), 2 LL H7R´s and an UK sideclicky LED.

All went out suddenly when Solarforce got on :D

The thing is, you don´t do much with old LL´s spotty and angry blue beam if you can´t even get any ceiling bounce in a rusty environment... :|
