What do you mean; I can`t see the brand name????? OEM lights? ebay

Gords1001 posted a link to an ebay auction, which led me to search for the KDQ5 light on ebay,

and this is what I found out..
I then changed the search to just: KDQ, and found a few more interesting finds.

Not sure why they want to sell them for only a few $ less than the real brands?
Real brands give warranty, and with a no-name light, you wont.

The funny thing is, is that most of the pics on ebay are photoshopped, look for example of the jetbeam ddr, you can still see the jetbeam name in the picture.
Also for the Fenix HL, you can see that the word fenix is shopped, and see a strange orange looking mark on top left.

Jetbeam SSR50

Hmm, interesting find. The seller’s ratings are fairly low, and the EA8 has the text for some sort of smartphone pasted into its description. But we already saw some pretty decent EA4 clones from FastTech, so I don’t doubt that these could exist. Also, some of them have very expensive shipping (~$30), which makes the difference between the clone and the original much less significant. But I’m still interested.

Buy that TK75 and give us a report.

True, but some sellers have quite a good amount of sold products; this ea8

@southland... me? uhmmm I rather spend the money somewhere else ;)

Here, the information I previously posted:

Notice the sellers ID:
97k
97k-mode
97k-cube
97kstore
97kentrepot
97k-toprated

Who is the mysterious 97k store?

Then the models also have the code SCA-XXXX which as with the KDQ* could also be internal stock codes. These lights could be factory rejects.

This scares me.

I wonder if these lights come properly assembled?

IE no f glue!

KDQ5 = Kai’s Domain Q5 is the LED…So that’s a thrower LED instead of the xml2 super bright ones?

Sorry for bringing back a buried and long forgotten thread.

wonder if this is also a copy of something with a brand name.

At least it has the kd name. Kinda like the look of it.

This also looks familiar.

What are we looking for here. Cheaper brand name lights, or hosts, or both.
I am interested in the OEM factory. Who are they ?
