What do you think about this budget karambit?, i like a lot! AUS8A
If it’s Chinese made it won’t be AUS 8A. That’s a Japanese steel. It’s probably 8Cr13MoV, which is good as long as it has a good heat treatment.
But the y-start knives are aus8 too, i don’t think that all have a false steel.
It’s easier to print AUS-8A on a knife than to import a Japanese steel. Some more info from this Ebay auction, apparently 1200 made, each individually numbered, and 59 HRC. If you like it Xatu, why not get one?
Because i don’t know if it is a good budget knife or its quality is like a fake chinese knife. But it seems pretty sturdy, full tang and impressive blade.
And, i know that y-start is for fixed knives like enlan etc for folders and they made it with aus8.
I understand your caution. Even Jacky of Exduct said there are fake Sanrenmu etc.
It does look like a sturdy enough little knife.
Not too pricey either.
I just buy it
No comments, it seems that this karambit hasn’t success.
Did you get it? What are your thoughts?
It’s shipped but still it hasn’t come.
Over the paper it seems good enough. It isn’t a fake or copy from a company, it’s only a chinese product with good price. I hope a thing like Enlan folders and so.
