What happened to Banggood

Seems they are not even trying to compete with Ali Express anymore.

They became obselete i guess. Same with dealextreme many years ago before banggood…

I’m still mourning the loss of fasttech.

For me, FastTech was replaced by Convoy, because I basically only bought LEDs and Drivers from FT.

I bought only from BG for years, but then their prices jumped up over night and I discovered AliExpress. Today, I only buy from BG if there is a really good Coupon for it.

BG tries to push their own brands now - like Astrolux

What what happened to BG? Well, they’re going to sink, like many others…

Would not be surprised .

Yeah, they’ve definitely fallen off. I think AliExpress just scaled way better and Banggood couldn’t keep up with the pricing and logistics.

ah they still sell that brand ? thought they stopped

The Astrolux lights had the most competitive prices on Banggood. With most Astrolux lights discontinued and only boring and ugly new Astrolux lights Banggood is no longer interesting for me.

seems just big clumy lights now and not much interesting smaller edc lights so meh..

Yeah, most of the time Banggood isn’t interesting/competitive anymore, but from time to time (and quite ramdonly often) they suddenly have super deals/prices that I have even never seen on Aliexpress during a sale (and with coupons).
Notable are some of the random Lumintop offers/deals they have from time to time, with currently the Lumintop MoonBox 3.0 being noticably cheaper than for what I can buy it for on AE at the moment. (The Lumintop Rainbow 2.0 was another example which was extremely cheap on BG, a couple of months ago.)

Earlier this year I was able to pick up a Lumtintop Thor II (2) titanium for less than 70 euro (incl. taxes and shipping), which was ridiculously cheap; to this day I even haven’t seen the regular aluminium Thor 2 for that little, neither on Aliexpress or Banggood. (The Alu version is priced really low now on AE during these recent sales, but I can’t still get it below 70 euro as far as I can tell.)

Other lights that regularly are priced really cheap are the Nextorch P80 and P83, with prices lower than that on AE.

Another brand that has almost always competitive prices on Banggood, compared to AE, is Fnirsi, with their measuring equipment.

But in general I completely agree with you: Banggood often appear not even trying to compete anymore with sites like Aliexpress.

Since aliexpress does not take paypal in my country, banggood is just fine.
