Every time that Utorch released a Manker clone the reply of the Manker representative was along the lines of ‘disgusting’, so either they are not the same company or they are good at acting.

Similar to Sofirn, Thorfire. Sofirn C8F is sold as Utorch C8F too.
Lots of the C8 and S2-style hosts have way different levels of quality and finishing though. I don’t see any reason to believe the clones are made in the same factory.
It’s suspected that some Utorch flashlights are made in the same factory as Manker’s as drivers with Manker name were found in Utorch flashlights (maybe it wasn’t the brand name but the E11 model number, I don’t remember, but it was very blatant) i.e. it’s the same driver made from the same blueprints with the same firmware, they didn’t even bother to change the name. Copyright enforcement is not very effective in China. Of course QC is worse at Utorch, just look at the number of UT01s with switch issues.
