Elzetta with a malkoff dropin.

For now, the Sofirn Sk40. But it’s not perfect. It could have the double buttom switch of the SK30 and tail standing.

Sofirn sk30

I prefer SC33, lol

Winner winner, elzetta and malkoff. I’ve been thinking of drawing up my own compatible heads and having them made..

2 Thanks

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I’ve got mine running a low profile right now, but should have a standard sitting around somewhere…the low profile is just more comfortable to hold and carry

Changing my answer to Elzetta and Malkoff. Armytek and Fenix second.

Sofirn SP31 v2.0

Acebeam P17.

Nice light!

It is a old one maybe you can update now, lol

For me good tactical flashlight is one with rear forward swith with instant access to turbo mode (or high if it has enough power).
My flashlight with rear main switch and side mode switch are Zanflare F1, Sofirn C8G, Sofirn SP31v2.0, wurkkos WK05.
Only SP31 memorize turbo so it is only real tactical light from my collection.
I have one modified Convoy S2+ SFT40 with direkt switch programed to group12-100% so it can be tactical light. I have ledlenser P5 AA one mode with forward switch but it doesn’t have enough power for tactical purposes, it is only good for light morse code maybe.
So from my flashlights, Sofirn SP31v2.0 is only real tactical by definition.
My friend has Fenix pd36 and Nitecore P20 new version, that are good tactical lights but I better like some other features from flashlight.

Agree with you, I have a SC33 and SC28, personally I think both of them are good choice for tactical applications.

Hard to pick ONE, but of the dozens I tested top 4, and ones I still grab:
Olight Warrior 3S
Olight Warrior X4
Klarus XT11GT Pro V2, awesome for a 18650 light
Acebeam P17

Runners-up: Fenix TK16 V2, Fenix TK20R UE, Fenix PD36 TAC.

Lots of lights claim to be tactical, but aren’t really
I only have a couple that fit my definition of a tactical light. Probably because I have no real use for lights of this type.
The first is the Cyansky P25. It has good output and memorizes the highest mode. It also has a forward clicky switch, so Momentary “turbo” is always available. There is side switch to change to one of 4 levels. Holding the side switch from on gives strobe.

Another that s almost there.
The Jetbeam IIIM Ultra. Also has a forward clicky and memorizes the highest level. So you have momentary “turbo” on it too. I have a bit of difficulty accessing the paddle switch that surrounds the tail switch. But that is how you change to any of three levels from on. From off the paddle gives momentary strobe, or if held constant on strobe. I just wish it did not have the variable rate strobe that seems to be popular today.
Out of more lights than I care to count, those are the only two that meet the definition. I like both, but I think I prefer the P25. It uses a 21700 cell that has USB C charging. But is a little more compact than the Jetbeam that uses an 18650 cell. It also uses a more common side switch to change levels rather than the sometimes hard to access paddle switch at the tail.

Surefire M2 Centurion
Surefire M6 Guardian

Those are all I have which seem tactical.
