New FW1A Pro, with a newly-swapped FL5009R 5000K.

I firmly believe that the 5009R is the perfect emitter for the 1A Pro

I’m liking it quite a lot in this host. In my XT3 it isn’t a good choice without a diffusion lens/filter.

I really wish they offered the 3V version in the same CCTs as the 6V, 4000K would be perfect. I might put some of my Lees minus green in the light. Its not green at all, but I’d like it to be a bit rosy.

FW1A w/SFT-25R 5700k 90CRI

Given the smaller reflector in the 1A vs the Pro, this LED works perfect in it.

Lily lookinng quite beautiful today!

I’ve read through a bunch of threads about replacing the 1A Pro reflector, and I buy spare reflectors with every Jackson order. I found one that worked well with my FW1A CULPM1.

The KaiDomain S3 (21700) reflectors allegedly work great once you chop the height and diameter a bit. I have two of those but haven’t trimmed them yet.

The Pro reflector works pretty well with the FL5009R, not great with an SFT-40 though.

I want to turn my FW3SS into a 1A, but I’ll need to get a reflector for it

Right on. Honestly though, I’m actually really happy with how well the 25R is in the smaller reflector. The beam is fantastic! As good as the FFL5009R in the Pro

FW3T, Lume1 driver with D3AA AUX board (not as bright as the regular Lume1 one), 519A 5000K dedomed, 10508 Carclo TIR. Sanded and cut deep carry clip.

Got it as stonewashed with a raw branded bezel, and I didn’t like that (stonewash was really dark) so I took red 3M scotch-brite to it until the finish matched, kinda a sanded/brushed finish. The branding on the bezel is now nearly invisible.

This one lives on my keys, I actually had forgotten I had it. Emisar KC1 SW45K (probably D220)

I’ve carried my Arkpro for a month straight. The flat form factor makes it very pocket-friendly and I love having flood and throw, both of which work really well. The battery level indicator and UI are brilliant too, they’re intuitive and just work.

The UV light and laser are more fun than practical for me, I’m not in love with the built-in battery but accept that the form factor dictates that. I would also prefer warmer LEDs for the flood and throw, but considering the built-in battery I’m OK with sacrificing that in favour of efficiency.

I completely understand why the Arkpro is not the enthusiasts’ choice, but simply as a tool to put light where there isn’t any it’s pretty damn good.

I bought the regular Arkfeld Pro when it came out (it had to have been Oct '23 right?). Mine still works nearly as new, it’s always had great battery life. Of course it’s been off and put away for probably 8 or 9 months now cause I lost the charger until today. I’m sure that after the amount of time I’ve already had it it might’ve lost some capacity by now.

I really think that if they really wanted to, one of the flat light mfgs could make them fit 2x 10880 or 14500 cells. problem with that is I can’t think of a sure way to keep water resistance. they’d probably have to have a hinged battery door like a box mod vape, or possibly a screw panel with a gasket, but that’s just more to go wrong losing parts.

I got the cool white version, because I bought the orange one bundled with an orange knife and that was the only choice. I’m pretty sure I will try swapping the LED, even though I’ll lose what’s left of my warranty. I’d rather not do that, but lately I can’t stand cool white and haven’t really carried anything over 4000K. It gets dark soon after I go to work.

FW3B for just around the house this part of the day (light modding time) with Zhu hybrid mule optic, currently 219F 1800K. Usually this is my nightstand candle mode light.

I’d love to get a brass button for it but none are available.

TBH I’d even be OK with a battery that was replaceable with tools at the end of its life rather than hot-swappable. Still, the Arkpro has a five-year warranty in the UK and that seems to include the battery. As a general rule I prefer replaceable but if I have to buy another one in five years I won’t be that upset about it, especially as Olight have sales seemingly every other week.

I’d been sort of eyeing up the Arkfeld, but the USB-C charging on the Arkpro was what pushed me over.

got it for $13 and carried it all this month.
