What size single li-ion replaces 2 16340's?

I have a surefire g2 poly that I’m going to rebuild. Since it’s a sleeved plastic light, I can’t bore it out for 18650’s do I have to use an odd ball sized equivalent. Does anyone know and who sells decent cells? I asked this question a long time again and can’t remember the answer.

Thanks!

16650
Same “16” diameter, but single cell length of 65mm

I wish more manufacturer would do 16650 base lights.
They could be slimmer yet as long as a 18650 light.
Even if my Olight S2 is slim, it would be a perfect light if it was as slim as the S1

Thanks!

16650 protected = 2x CR123 in series

34mm + 34mm=68mm
16650+Protection+button top=btwn 67-69mm

Hi,

Not sure where in the World you are.

I’m Just outside of England (GB / UK)

I got some unprotected 2200mAh Efest 16650’s for a good price off eBay’s UK site (Big_F_D_D) Jim / Torchy the Battery Boy (on this Forum.)

Had them for a few years now. They hold their charge very well. I use them in my Inova 2x cr123a lights.

Oddly though, they do smell of Curry! No effect on their 2 Amp performance surprisingly!

Cheers,
Splott-Light

Thank you sir.
I’m in California, USA. I haven’t bought these batteries yet. Fasttech has supposedly genuine Sanyo batteries for about 12 dollars. I’m thinking about just buying a few of those. The ones in the link above are 14 for two but then I have to pay shipping. I know. I’m cheap. Lol
