I like the size of the Z series but not sure i would get enough runtime out of them.
The the last 2 I'm not sure I would like the size but sure I would get enough runtime out of it. Possibly replace the driver / emitter with something more useful.
Maybe a ramping mode drive and an xml ?
qlite drive driver ?
I want mostly flood out of the light and wondering what led/driver would be most efficient.
Also I know people have the ebay light or a Dongrui 820 how does it feel on your head. I will not be running, mostly for work in electrical cabinets trouble shooting and inside machines for servicing.
Currently I have a Princeton Tec Corona that I have had for years, but wanting something with a little more light at times. The corona is a 8 x 5mm that runs off 3 AA batteries.
Any input greatly appreciated. Trying to figure out soon so I can order something
or if there is a light I am missing ?
oh yeah and I ordered an ultrafire headband to try some lights that way too.
About your 3rd link (Ebay 18650 link), I am currently awaiting that one to mod with an XM-L2 T5 5B1 (should be a very nice neutral white), a 1.4A Nanjg driver (3 modes H-M-L), and a glass lens for full wide even flood. Have you seen this info posted (see post #37). I ordered my light from China though and it's coming without tracking so I have no idea when I'll see it.
Emitter is 16mm and lens is 21-22mm (per filtt post #43). KD has an AR Coated 21mm lens, but I just ordered from FastTech. Now that I check, I ordered a 20mm lens (must have thought filtt said 20-21mm). Well, I guess I'll see if it fits!
EDIT - I see now that FT doesn't list a 21mm or 22mm lens.
Then I went and bought the same xm-l2 T5 5B1
I picked up a 6x amc7135 105c driver - it was ceaper with 6 than with 4 ? go figure. I can leave them or take them off easy enough.
I think I can find a lens lying around before I order something.
It should all be here fairly soon I think
light by friday according to ebay and paid the extra $.92 for expedited shipping from fasttech
I’m excited to have a new headlight and will be my first light anywhere close to neutral tinit so that should be interesting as well.
