My favorite of 2017: Olight s2 baton, Lumintop sd mini, Surefire g2x, Klarus xt11gt, Klarus xt11s, Fenix pd35 tac. Here is the list of the best tactical flashlight. I agree with this list. Out of 10 of those flashlights 7 is my favorite. Accoring to my logic, every best flashlight should have tactical features.
After some consideration I would nominate $7 S2+ as well. Unlike some other awesome deals it is something that an average but determined person can grab. And it’s worth it.
1)Skilhunt H03 . Good host, modding friendly. Actually I have 3 different moded H03 as favorite of year)

Forward clicky, nigh perfect mode spacing, nice beam… what’s not to love?
That’s still one of my all-time faves.
Personally I find mode spacing of D4 much better. 
Ain’t got a D4, so can’t compare.
Just ordered a D1 and THAT might be my best of 2017.
D4 has smooth ramping. No modes, even optionally.
I hate that low voltage protect, it kicks in much earlier and this light flickers so much…… some times the low protection kicks even with fresh batteries :person_facepalming:
That forward clicky I don’t like, but is ok for me. I’ve tried to fix it tightening those retaining rings, but with no success :confounded:

As a newbie, thanks to lurking around here, my favorite is the BLF A6 3D with some DC-Fix (thx Boaz). This light works great for nightly walks with a huge output, a super floody beam, and at a budget price.
The light that I find myself using and enjoying (despite the odd UI) most frequently is the Nitecore EC23 as well

Convoy l6 sry but this light is hard to beat for me, insane value for money.
I remember picking this light (black L6) out of the box for the first time (last year) thinking that it’s impossible that such awesome machining, feel, and stealthy matte finish can be bought for about $60. It’s amazing alright.

Oh yeah it’s a great light. Best bang for your buck, that’s for sure.
I’m curious why so many rave about the Convoy L6. Not saying it is a bad light in ANY way…in fact i dont even have it to compare.
Compared to Thorfire S70S, it doesnt throw quite as far, both are 26650 lights and Thorfire is at least $10 cheaper (almost $20, depending on the website).
Is the machining and quality that much different/better on the Convoy?
I have the Thorfire myself and love it, just wondering what the difference is.
