...and a parcel from GearBest:

  1. The Blue camo and Sand camo SK68 lights I had purchased. Hollow pills (is this standard on SK68s?) but are otherwise very nice. They have a true Cree XP-E emitter, and are very bright from an Alkaline AA cell. Purchased for a friend so they will be operated using NiMH AA cells only. I haven't tested with 14500 yet. I have to say they look very nice, even better than the pics on the website! The finish is a thick gloss coating that looks reasonably durable. Threads are dry, but that's easily fixed. Overall, I'm very happy with these lights!
  2. 2x 5W-rated COB GU10 base LED bulbs. I purchased these to replace some older 4W LED bulbs in my stove range hood. These are very nice, I'm hoping they last well. The COB emitters don't seem to generate as much heat, which is good. They have a very nice wide flood, with a good amount of light for a stovetop. They are floodier than the TIR-based bulbs I had their originally, so it does a much better job of evenly illuminating the surface. This SKU is available in Warm/Neutral/Cool white; the unit I purchased is the Neutral, and is very nice. It's a natural light without the excess yellow/greenish tint of some of the cheaper warm bulbs I've used in the past.
  3. This Blue 301-style LASER: my full report and warnings to wear safety eyewear are here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/33834#comment-778629
