What you got today

Got this from Simon today, I didn’t think it was gonna show up til later this week.

I indeed travel a lot across Europe, Asia and the US. Have seen a few 18650 battery holders but they are either expensive (basically the polished SS ones or the custom variants with brass, Ti,…) or they may seem “cheaply built” if affordable (the 1$ US plastic boxes you can find on auction sites).

This variant is constructed out of thick, robust plastic and I only paid 4,99 shipped. The o-rings and lanyard are of decent quality and there is enough space for 1 spare AA/AAA/18350 in the middle.

edit: Solarforce has a new version of their box:

L2T’s come with SS tailcaps now? How do you like it?

A new SSD 512 GB, not the fastest on the market, but only 139 USD

Got Sunwayman C22C and Fenix HL23 today.
So happy!

Stainless steel host and Olive S6.

Where is the olive S6 from? thats very nice! the stainless host is sharp too!

Finally got a Mooltipass , for some research.
It’s a portable password hardware device.

From an Indiegogo project.
It came with a cool little metal ruler too.

.

Some simple one-slot chargers from the recent Gearbest sale.

Two MC1s for gifting and a MC1 Plus for me. Boxes were crushed as usual but no damage to contents.

Chargers from XTAR Anniversary Sale . Hope you guys have stocked up well.

On my way between sites today, I spotted an area on the side of the road where someone had illegally dumped several CRT TVs, plus a HD projection TV. I immediately stopped and checked the projector TV; the screen had been broken and the mirror smashed, but the lens units were in good condition. Naturally, I pulled all three lens units and took them with me…

I now have three of these on hand; preliminary testing (meaning, I used my EDC flashlight to shinea beam on the ceiling using one of these) seems to show that they will focus an emitter nicely.

Got a Cyberpower CST135XUL 1350 VA UPS after my old APC Back-Ups Pro 1400 gave up it's batteries for the 3rd time over the past 13 years. It uses two 12 volt 17.5 amp batteries in series which cost close to $100 for both. So instead of buying new batteries, I bought a new Cyberpower UPS from Costco for $99.99. Since the wattage draw is only 40 watt between my home security DVR, Cameras, Fios modem/router, and my obi voip device, the Cyberpower should be more than enough for a couple of hours of battery backup. Battery replacement will be a lot cheaper as well since it only uses one 12 volt 8 amp battery. Since we don't lose power here too often, when it does it's only for a short time.

Edit: I just found out it uses two 12 volt 8 amp batteries. Not sure if they're in series like my APC. That being said, replacement batteries are cheap at about $30 for 2.

My old APC

Sorry no pics today. But this past weekend I got an Undercover flex cover for my truck, an Escort Redline radar detector, and I scored 500 rounds of .22. I think I’m more excited about finding some ammo.

It’s cheaper to buy a new UPS than to buy new batteries. I got my APC rigged up with external batteries from some medical equipment pulls. It gets me by but I need a good black Friday sale this fall instead of the joke we had last year.

Not today but last week, just didn’t get a chance to post it up. XP-L version of WL-S2.

Glaree c1 camping light
4xAAA very good looking.
Diffuser part has some dirt on it.

I got this from RMM. I have no idea how you guys build these drivers as some of the components are mere mm's in size. This is pure flashlight pawn. 5 amps, four modes with 90 second turbo timer, 9 volt LVP and mode memory. Now not to toast it.

Nothing spectacular, but I really needed it! Ordered it from Fasttech and it was in Europe in 15 days! Couldn’t be happier with the service.

Now off to the bench building a new P60 drop-in

Are you sure you didn’t mean to order Fujik?

That tube is the one I had before, but it was too much for my needs.
Isn’t this just a smaller amount?!

edit: I saw your link was the glue, where mine is just the compound. This is fine, I use screws or other ways to mount the parts.
