Maplin do small tubes of silicone grease which will last for ages.
Nowadays I use engine oil from a dropper bottle - easier to get the right amount in there. Where conductivity isn't an issue, I find plumbers PTFE tape works very nicely - especially with badly worn threads.
What I got today was really annoyed at the USPS. My package from MF is still hanging up at the NYNY ISC.
I added tracking to this order since it was a $60+ order, but apparently all that does is slow the shipment down. My second order from the same date and same vendor made without tracking was already delivered about a week ago.
Yes, itβs from HobbyKing. Mine came with USB port (some other people receive it without USB port, I canβt get drivers but at least I have the option to do graphs)
That's a beautiful piece of equipment, Glenn. Congrats.
As an aside, I was fondling a new Fluke meter in the store the other day, and it seemed as if the leads were just a bit thinner than the 6-year-old version at home.
Thanks my friend The leads shown in my picture are aftermarket. (see image) I like them better than the stock leads because the tips are much sharper. Also like that the alligator clips screw on vs push on.
The leads that came with the 289 are exactly the same as the ones that came with my 10 year old 189. Both measure 3.5mm in thickness.
Love that 289 atbglenn, I use my 179 loads but most of my actual work requires my cumbersome 123 with its crap battery, my work mate has ordered the removeable display 233, interested to see that soon
