Got a new Tripplite 10 amp (7.5 amps continuous) power supply to replace my lame Pyramid 6 amp continuous (way exaggerated) piece of crap.

Look at the difference between the two…

I don’t have any 18650 batteries or chargers left, I gave them all away on here.

But for $16 I don’t know how anyone else can pass that one up.

I got an l2m, l2n, a solarforce lantern, l2t head, 2 18650 extensions, 8 rcr123, 4 18650, xpg 3 mode and single both low voltage, xmlu2 5 mode, belt clip and a few dropin cases. Lots to add to my 4 l2ps and mpp1 and m3.

Still waiting on a dx and itl outdoor packages, o rings a new gun mount nitecore headband and some tailcaps.

Next ill have to get a non p60 lego light. Addicted.

So I actually received these yesterday, but was too busy playing to post anything here.
Ordered from Fasttech 1/1/2013 - Received 1/14/2013 I don’t have a lot of experience with shipping from china, but this is the fastest so far! On to the list;

Akoray K-106
Came in good working order. square cut threads on head and tail (bone dry on the tail end, no biggie), knurling looks good, anodizing was flawless, all in all a pretty cool light for ~$10
NiteCore I2
I don’t know much about chargers, but this one seemed ok. Charged my new 14500’s to 4.2v and nothing blew up so that’s a good sign, right?

Delivered at 3.82v on both cells. They are blue…

all in all, not a bad haul for $38 shipped IMO. Starting to kick myself for getting the I2 instead of the I4… only $2-3 difference in price and im starting to think I might need the extra slots for that TandyFire SRK I’ve got my eye on….

With all that said, I’m very grateful I stumbled onto this forum and look forward to learning more from everyone here.

Today I received a package from a buddy across the pond. He only said he was sending me a light. Once I saw the big bubble pack envelope I knew there was much more than a light inside there! I’m very touched that someone I only know from a flashlight forum would be so thoughtful to send gifts, especially by way of international shipping! There are some wonderful people here on BLF!

I’ll hazard a guess that its a custom light, a light the previous owner found extremely useful for its possible low output when a new baby wakes up in the night.

I’d say, go with the karma rule, pay the favour forwards in the future, it makes the world go round.

Raise it a couple inches? New HIDs? Put some new big-O-mud tires? I have already pick out the perfect spot where the EDC18650 will live, right next to the centre console.

I got my first FastTech order yesterday! A bunch of batteries, and various DIY parts.
Customs got curious on this one, probably because of the weight.

Inside:

- 10 Sanyo ZT 2800’s , my first brand name cells, working great!

- 12 ‘Enelong’ AAA’s which seem to work quite well. Might not be quite Eneloop quality, but Ok for $4.50/pack

- Four SpiderFire 16340’s which are total crap. capacities tested out at 462, 356, 122, and 15 mAh! Avoid these!

• Glass lenses, a nice AA driver , and a couple of TIR’s for playing around with

Not the best contact between drop-in and host. Also had a wierd spacer between battery and drop-in, only a raised tab battery would make some contact. I removed it and let the battery sit on the spring; works great!

Mine came in the mail today as well. You’re right. I have not seen that type of spacer before. Mine doesn’t even make contact with the positive pole of the battery. Popped it out and now able to fit a protected sized battery now. Can’t go wrong with $8 torch.
