What you got today

A card delivered to my PO Box on Saturday, when the office was closed, informing me that I have a package to pick up, with today, as "Columbus Day", also leaving the office closed, so I will have to wait until tomorrow.

Got my first Digital MM, first set of Eneloops, first and second SK68, and first 14500 batteries (trustfire inside the sk68)

I need better lighting above my picture area.

Got an EZ Flash IV from realhotstuff

Wanted one forever, and waited to long and they disappeared off the face of the earth and you had to pay outrageous amounts for them second hand. They must have found some in storage or had another run made.

I also got my Champ RC plane from Hobby Zone yesterday. But probably will not fly it til this weekend. Came with the plane, remote, 8 AA's for the remote (it takes 4 at a time), two flight batteries, and a lipo battery charger.

I got high cri LEDs, 2xpg, 1XML some nichia 119.
Vetus stainless steel tweezer(nice one), some nanjg, a 6V one mode driver with broken coil and a carabiner which works bad…perhaps I should make now a RMA every time I get something from fasttech >)

The dies of the high cri Crees have a lot darker die color than the normal second generation LEDs…

I know what you mean, its getting ridiculous, i had to make 2 tickets on one order, and a third item in that order is also flaky (out of 6 items iirc)

Just in time for winter. A pair of FX-R HID projectors. They will be retrofitted into the Pajero's headlight assembly. I'm thinking about blacking out the reflectors and shroud to give it a deeper depth look. Time to bring out the dremel this weekend~!

Anyone done this before? Any last minute words of wisdom?

When done...it'll look like this but all the chrome will be black

Cant say I have any experience with it, but I was in the process of getting a set made for my Saab when I blew a hole in the side of the engine block.

One word of wisdom is at least you are doing it right. I hate when people put HID in regular headlight assemblies

I got an Enlan/Bee L05-1, the Bee variety from FastTech
Shipped on Friday, September 27 via Singapore Post.

Very smooth and fast opening with a Full Flat Grind for good slicing and dicing.

Got some BIG lights in today.

2 T8 GE Daylights (mucho brighter than the T12s and not too blue or green) with new surface mount fixture for the light box - kitchen watts overhead drop by 40% with only a 15% lumen drop - best part is the task area directly under seems pretty much the same.

10 new Sylvania T12 Daylights - HATE the greenish tint compared to the Phillips - quite bad pairing for the GEs so I swapped some tubes around.

We left up T12s flanking the T8s but they won’t be wired in until we can run a second wire to add a 2nd switch for them. If I get lucky, the 2nd switch won’t make it back to the top of the honey-do list.

This….bottom bracket remover!

I was getting tired of desoldering with solder wick and one of those cheap solder suckers so I ordered a Hakko 808 Desoldering tool after reading glowing reviews on Amazon. (I ordered mine from there) I should have it in a few days.
