My KD C8 XPL- HI arrived today. Yay. A quick daytime white wall test looks promising. Same tint as the XM-L2. Brighter, slightly smaller hotspot, but having no dome I assume the beam will hold a constant diameter as it throws. Waiting 5 more hours for it to be dark is going to be painful.

TM16GT arrived today. C’mon darkness, so I can test outside.
I stuck some flat top batteries in it, but it was dead. That had me worried for a minute.
Then I stuck some button-tops in and it came to life. :bigsmile: Wow, very bright.

I was renting from a “friend” who had stated that we would be allowed to live in the rental property as long as we wished. Now, he has announced on short notice that he wants us out in 30 days so he can sell the property.
To make matters worse, we have invested a lot in improving the house, as it was for a friend, and now we don’t get to enjoy the improvements we had made.
Rental properties are scarce and expensive in this area, so I’m expecting some difficulty in finding another place to live on such short notice.
Bill him for the upgrades
oh man, good luck finding something.
30 days is very short, isnt 3 months some sort of minimum? (in The Netherlands it is and here in France I understood that forced evictions and cutting off from power and gas is not possible during winter)

The Ganzo 718 came today, nice, we played with it and my son mad a wooeden sword from a 1 m piece of oak, ver nice knife and the lck works good.
Also AliExpress ruled in my favor over a dispute over a Sky Ray King, after seing the pics they changed my dispute from “goods not as described” to “received counterfeit goods”, to celebrate I ordered 2 flashlights with strange yet interesting looks on AliExpress.
Essentially, a 3 x AAA cell stainless steel LED Lenser, with a Chinese manual.
US$ 22.65 from DX

I received word that a seller is gong t refund another fake LEDded Sky Ray King
AND as a huge bonus, am honored to say he told me there is lots of communication about me and he has put me on a blacklist so I am not able to buy from several sellers.
Surely enough I received a cancellation of a flashlight advertised with CREE LED that would have cost the seller money if it turned out to be fake!
With great gratitude and deeply honored I accepted a place on this blacklist of cheating/scaming/lying sellers since it s saving time.
I hope they are able to make their product pages invisible for me, that would make browsing through AliExpress flashlights even better!

YAY!!! 10 LEDs came in, neatly packed in a CREE sealed enveloppe, looking good by eye.

Also word that I get refunds for the last two SRKs.
1 of the sellers was shocked by the differences between send goods and inforation from factory.
I ordered another Uniquefire light there and she pointed me to a cheaper one saying tha this item was checked by her and she knows this to be god information, very nice, will update it in the other thread about this later.
Also the 5 Liitokala chargers fro Gearbest arrived.
3 of them are now charging a Panasonic cell while a fourth in the same charging state is being charged in a reliable charger with display all on 0.5A.
three other cells are drained now to test the other two right after that (I want to feel the cells regularly and see the progres and only have so much USB ports on my notebook ;))

OK 1 got a cheapie headlight today
And more important a good idea!
Before our son was born, his room was my brewing area.
It was a semi lab where I could cultvate yeasts from nice beers.
A tool i had bought was an old magnet stirrer (to keep the mix in motion, makes yeast grow faster)
Later this device beame a play thing for him.
Put a bowl with water on it with some metal things and swirling water can be made, the rotation speed is adjustable.
Bt it also has a temp switch, of course I had disconnected that (the dial says 350GrdC a tad too hot for a youngster to play with)
But for reflows, maybe it can help.
So I cleaned it, connected the wires and just now turned it on for the first time.
I had never used the heating of it and must hav bought it at least 16 years ago, at that time it was allready very old and written off by the laboratorium that previously had used it.
So well, there is some smoke coming from it, I could not clean all the fins around the magnet core (very solid construction but impossible to reach everywhere) so I let it run, hoping it was dust burning and no old wires.
The temp kept on rising steady.
When it reached 220 GrdC I switched it off, that is well over the 183/188 I need.
So I got a reflow heat plate! YAY, still a rookie, still not modded anything, but getting the gear ready 
Will clean it again and maybe, no surely disassemble it some more to clean depper and check the wires now that it has become very hot.
And next time I will not cut it off to see how close to the orignal 350GrdC it can come.
