Can I please ask if you bought this from GearBest? If so, which particular one since there seems to be so many variants of Convoy S2. And I am assuming this is a Convoy S2.
The reason I am asking is I bought my very first Convoy S2+, which seems to be the cheapest, and it came in a boring unmarked white box (not a fancy looking Convoy box like yours) in a plastic bag. I was of the impression it will come in a nice box like yours.
EDIT: I suspect the S2+ I bought must be one of a few (if not the only one) that comes in a plain white box, like the one shown in this video. Never mind I guess, for what I paid (promo price of US$6.99), I can’t really complain as it is easily the best quality budget flashlight (<US$10) I have bought so far.
41 days to Russia.
Usually this is called “slow boat”, but as you know we have long border with China and water transport is not used. One of the companies that deliver goods from China called “pony express”, I suppose this shows the delivery method that my Q8 went.
My Grainy Cyan and Grainy Green 219C 90+ CRI D4 lights arrived today. The cyan is with frosted optics. I certainly was bummed when Emisar started selling the 219C 90+ CRI variant only a couple of weeks after I got original D4 lights with 219C 80+ CRI. But it’s not just a new emitter, as the finish is new and a new colour is added as well. The grainy texture is really grippy compared to the original finish; it really feels a bit like fine sand paper… I also love the fact that the led board is now screwed to the shelf instead of held in place by the bezel… Really happy with these two new lights, and can’t wait to test drive them tonight! :sunglasses:
I got a big sports bag of 17 flashlights and 6 chargers for repair. I will have a busy november first week to do them.
One light came in a nice metal box. It is the biggest flashlight I ever holded in my hands!
Trustfire T90-2 Just for reference next to a C8 and an L6:
You can’t hold it in cigar grip It will break you fingers. It is about 400mm long. Longer than a BLF GT. It also worked as a giggles machine like the GT
to puglife2’s question:
They are non-LSD type batteries, require refresh if you do not discharge and charge frequently (eg. weekly)
As you can see the display it shows charged to 9999mah (upper limit of the charger), but discharges less then 8000mah during refresh test.
Their LSD version may be better, but I do not have any. amazon link centura version
Using Enelope AA’s in 3 parallel adapters may be better. ( good low resistance adapter needed)
Do you have a picture of the mcpcb of the screwed down version? Just wanted to see how it’s screwed down and to check if I can replace it with the MTN quad board. Thanks.
Got me a set of 3 lenses for the Convoy M1. Perfect timing, almost, as I derped and completely smashed the already damage lens on mine.
Hint: don’t put your torch on top of the rails of the shower box’s door, folks. Far too easy for it to fall off on a fumble, and it’s a long way down. :person_facepalming:
Brand-spanking New Imalent DX80 from wolfgirl009 on eBay. The charger has been updated, the button has been strengthened, the OLED and blue indicator lights have been slightly dimmed (much better), and even the reflectors are shinier. Perfected Imalent DX80 from wolfgirl009 on eBay.
