What you got today

^ wanted to do that too sometime, for comparison reasons. What did you pay for the various pieces of pipe? And what store?, these usually are not sold in white in the Netherlands.

@Jos

I paid a little over 5€ per piece, it should be available in the better hardware stores.
Online i found them even cheaper for 3,15, search for HWA wit 80mm bocht.

I only need a 80mm glass lens or equivalent to get a consistent distance to get a reliable reading

Dank!, I will have a look around for it.

A piece of clear perspex can be sawn into a round for what you want. (polycarbonate usually is slightly blue coloured so that would be less suitable).

One more thing: those PVC bends do not fit into each other without a piece of straight pipe to fill the gap, right?

Officially yes, but it isn’t perse needed, i was able to press fit them into eachother

@djozz…those are called street fittings here in the states. One end of the fitting fits into the bell of the other .

Won the Kershaw Natrix - copper from SMKW for National Knife Day !

Almost, the wide end fits around the pipe, the narrow end inside the pipe, but if you fit a bends directly into another bend, a gap remains of the thickness of the pipe.

That is a nice knife that you won :sunglasses:

In NL they call it ‘verjongd’ so the pipe fits over it on the one end and into it on the other end.
I would have preferred flush on one end so that they fit into eachother but this was the best i could find at the moment.

I have a blue Natrix.

It's a very nice knife.

I kinda like that look ,

Just a few new optics.

Convoy S2+ T6 3B, 7135 x 8 (Whatever that means from Aliexpress £13.16 Delivered)

x8 means 8 x AMC7135 chips, (8*350 mA=2,8A) that means do not leave it switched on on high unattended since it will get hot

The L’Auberge Casino Tooth Fairy dropped this off on my door step today—- For a change they gave me good reason to leave early——

I’m waiting for a reason to buy one of those, they are goodlooking, handy and affordable. But I have a fine DIY hotplate so I can not justify it. Have fun with yours!

Thanks. They don’t even offer it for sale… Else this is the company which claims that if you ask about the price it means you can’t really afford it.

I tested it out last night — works great —Super Fast heat up and almost instant flowing of LEDs —- the crazy part is — if you use a temp gun to check plate temp— it doesn’t register more than 35 C

Because of shiny surface. Put a piece of unpolished copper and measure temperature there.

Thanks
