Some vapcell K10’s from Convoy. Waiting for their home in a KR1AA. Interestingly, I don’t any convoy lights. In hindsight I should have grabbed a T3. 4 cells for one light is probably too much.

Beamshots? I’m very interested in this light, given the lack of good and affordable AAA lights currently on the market.
I’ve got one, from ages ago; I find it easy to reccomend other convoy lights, this AAA thing is nice enough, but it didnt feel like the “normal” excellent value for money I feel from other convoy lights.
My next keychain sized light will likely be a Skilhunt E3A with emitter swap and resister mod.

What exactly did you not like about it? Fit and finish is flawless, and it works as intended. It’s a keychain light.

If only Sofirn still produced the C01S…it’s crazy to me how the market for keychain lights has gone backwards in the recent years, despite better and better driver/LED tech coming out.
Lots of known great lights (like Thrunite Ti3 and various Olights) have adopted a 100%-only UI, and so did Emisar with KC1! I can’t understand what they are thinking.

It’s a while since I’ve handled it, it’s relegated to standby duties in a drawer or something. I can’t put my finger on my specific reason for not liking it, perhaps my expectations were just set too high.
The head on my light felt a bit “loose”, not dissimilar to a couple of the lights I’ve had from lumintop with poor thread tolerance, perhaps a correctly fitting O-Ring would provide sufficient friction.
I remember being disappointed at the lack of waterproofing but to be honest, can’t remember what I spotted that was surprising, likely posted it before but I can’t find my comments now.
For reference, nothing has displaced my favourite keychain carry Sofirn SC01.
Other frequently carried favourites, so you can understand my preferences: BLF 386, Lumintop tool AAA Cu, Sofirn C01S. Used to have an ITP Eos (now olight I3E eos, but gave it away once I got into warmer CCTs.
Lumintop L01 is my newest AAA, its okayish. The UI has annoying mode memory, the lowest mode isn’t true moonlight, there’s thread slop, the headband is amazingly too grippy and therefore not that comfortable and finally, the stock optic is awful. Thankfully I had a replacement TIR that fitted perfectly.
The above opinions aside, if you like the Convoy AAA then I’m pleased, it’s an attractive design and the captive head is quite unusual.
