I got some 4C tint R5 XPGs from Shiningbeam. I highly recommend them, they have a really nice tint and they are a little bit brighter than the KD R4 4B XPGs.
Thanks, it's a little misleading because the camera corrected the 3D to a whiter color than it is but it gives you some idea of the difference in the tints.
My wife just sent me this picture of what came in the mail today:
The small package in the front is the lock/key for a gumball machine I'm trying to get rebuilt. The three Manafont envelopes are probably:
A set of cheap keychain lights
Some tailcap switches for C8/TR1200-type lights
A XM-L C8 with batteries/charger/accessories I ordered for a co-worker
Maybe, if I'm lucky, my empty 502d host (The only thing I have ordered for myself in a while)
<edited>
Okay, my haul did not include the C8 and accessories that I had anticipated. It actually included these items:
The cheap keychain lights
The 502d host with 4 pcs of the cheap 18650 cases ordered to include with the C8's kit
The XP-G R5 with secondary red emitter P60 drop-in ordered in December. MF had shipped the wrong item, and after numerous communications with CS/Jim, they finally shipped the correct SKU!
A fresh load of paisley
Now, still pending the switches, C8 kit, and an order from DX with a couple of styluses (styli?) XPG R5 emitter on a 16mm board, and the 18V driver circuit. That should have everything delivered with no outstanding orders. For now.
I got a gun sight from DX, it is much smaller than I thought it would be. Unfortunately the recital is so far out of alignment it can't be adjusted to work properly so I had to start an RMA. Hopefully I can get it replaced before the upcoming apocalypse.
ITP SA1 Eluma, which is going to be my EDC light for a while.
Paid pretty close to retail for it and for once, I don't mind. I know it's one of ITP's entry level products, I know it's not the brightest light there is but I really like having the choice between reverse and forward clicky. Choice is good and I don't mind paying a bit extra for it.
I also find myself buying more and more lights with a side clicky and an infinite brightness mode or magnetic control ring. Damn, this used to be a cheap hobby. :D
Got this yesterday. It was $5.99. I thought I was getting an XR-E Q3. It's got some cheap chinese emitter (2 wires) that I've never seen before. Definitely not a Q3, much less a CREE. Also the bulb of the LED is very scratched up under a 10x loupe. It's also VERY dim. I would say about 15 lumens.
I got my Jetbeam BA20 from DD today! Awesome 2xAA light, and an awesome price with great service once again from DD. Hope they can offer us more great deals soon!
btw, that sight looks fun (if it worked) but I've had terrible luck w/ such sights, even name brands and spending over $100. I'll stick w/ no snag, drift adjustable, tritium dots on judgment day ;)
