Where or how to get Tritium vials affixed

I’ve never messed with this before.

Does anyone know if local electronics shops or gun stores might be able to do it?

I was just about to order two vials but realized I know nothing about loca or how to do it myself.

I think the recommended way is to use Norland NOA61 adhesive. Squirt some of the adhesive into the slot, then insert the trit, then brush off excess, then expose to UV light (or sit outside in the sun all day) until the Norland cures.

I haven’t tried it myself, but glass super glue might also work. Or any of the fairly common clear UV glues.

I agree that most folks use the Norland UV glue but it’s fairly expensive. I’ve used any of the “dries clear” super glues or other types and have had good results.

The Norland glue is quit expensive.
I use a cheaper alternative that has always worked great for me.

Dries clear in just a minute or so under a UV light. I use a convoy S2 with a Nichia UV led to cure the glue.
I have several different lights with trits installed using this glue, some for years.
I have also used this to make a few titanium gemstone rings.

Probably a little more than you will ever use for trit’s but you might find a smaller quanity cheaper.
.
The center section is crushed white opal, all glued in using nothing but the UV glue.

.
Maybe this will give you a few more options.
.
You also need a slot or installed in a safe place that keeps the trit from being damaged.
There made of trituim in a glass vial that is somewhat fragile.

Thanks!

I’m looking to move a bit faster. My two lights have the slots. Think I may just use Gorilla Glue clear gel.

Thanks. I think I will go with clear Gorilla Glue.
