Buck or Boost? 4S or 2S?

4S (4x18350’s) at 2.5amps - 17mm MTN-MAXlp HP 1A-5.5A Low-Profile Buck Driver - 5V-18V

1S/2S (1-2X18650’s) would need a Boost driver, good luck in a 17mm size.

Schoki’s MP3431 driver seems to be what you need. It is not available yet though….
