Check out this test done by TA:
kiriba-ru sent me these LED’s to test. I had never even heard of them before so I didn’t hold out a lot of hope for them but they really surprised me! They have one of the lowest apparent thermal resistance I have seen so far. This can be seen in how the output hardly jumps from a cold start, that says it is moving the heat away very efficiently.
The output is also very impressive at over 2200 lumens! This is more then any other 3V LED I have hot tested. The XP-L2 will make a bit more from a co…
I also built a convoy c8+ using a 4000k 351d, here:
I was inspired by djozz and built this C8+ out with sliced Samsung LH351D 4000K 90+CRI. I must say I do like the tint on the led. I’m using a qlite driver w/ added chips at 6a.

This led is definitely worth taking a look, if you are looking for a high output high cri led. There’s also the lumiled luxeon MZ but I don’t think the warm tint is readily available and you have to deal with cross in the middle but it might not be an issue in an aspheric. Here’s a test of the led:

Some time ago I found a LED which have sparked my interest. The most LEDs with high color rendition (known as ‚high CRI‘) are not very powerful, have not the best efficiency and also can’t handle high currents like other LED series.
The Luxeon MZ is very interesting becaus…
