I am just getting into all this flashlight fun and frivolity and would like to get hold of some Li-Ion rechargeable batteries from a UK based retailer. I’m not being patriotic/protectionist here - I would just like the convenience of UK delivery times on occasion , for which I don’t mind paying a little over the odds. Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be much out there, but maybe I’m just not looking in the right places!
Do any of the UK based members have any seller recommendations to point me in the right direction? I am specifically looking for protected 14500’s and 18650’s at the moment. Thanks in advance.
I have to say it may take longer but Fasttech are far cheaper. Half the price.
For example a 14500 Nitecore cell costs £9.94 delivered from Flashaholics but £5.19 delivered from Fasttech - and that’s a price increase at Fasttech as Nitecore are enforcing the MAP price now, I got them for under £4 a few weeks ago.
he’s on ebay and a member here. usually gets batteries to me in a couple of days and great to deal with, he sometimes has good chargers and bike lights too.
If you decide to go the Chinese route it’s not so bad, Solarforce are my quickest yet, 7 days from clicking the button to arriving.
Other sellers vary but 7-10 days is fair for the bigger sites, Kaidomain, FastTech, DX, Exduct etc. It can be longer though.
There’s Amazon and ebay but check where it’s shipped from.
The only people that I deal with that don’t do free P&P are Solarforce and that’s only $2 per consignment no matter what you buy.
Good hunting, it can be part of the fun.
Great stuff.Thanks.Torchy the battery boy certainly ticks the right box for convenience, being only an hour away from where I live, so could be handy in an emergency!
BTW, am I missing out on some kind of secret order in Central Scotland? Torchy the Battery Boy (Glasgow) and Spaceboy (Edinburgh) were both characters in an old (pre - Thunderbirds) Gerry Anderson puppet show on TV (giving away my age I’m afraid). I think we should be told.
