Yes they’re legit.
But they don’t offer the same support, like when you have a special request or problems with your light.
But in Simon’s store you can get 15% BLF discount when you send him a message before you pay (after you place an order).
(someone posted this link. on the gearbest website, it doesn’t seem to come up in searches).
The LED and color of the tube are the differences to make that much of a price difference? Ah, the cheaper one is 7135x6. I’m just looking for the cheapest brightest light. So I want a 7135x8, right?
Hello feetsdr, this is the “short” version, with a 18350 tube. From the picures, looks genuine to me.
To update the firmware you need to get access to the driver, put a clip on the chip, connect to a programmer, connect the programmer via USB to a PC and install the programmer SW. Then choose a firmware that fits the driver, change the settings if you wish and send the fw to the chip.
In theory 7135X8 is brighter than 7135X6. I own both in Convoy S2+ and C8 versions. In reality, my 50 something year old eyes can’t tell the difference in brightness between X6 and X8 and the X8 will have a shorter run time. I wouldn’t buy X8 again.
