Which LED for FW3A?

Hi.
One of the diodes in my FW3A just died. SST-20 95CRI 3000K
What could you suggest to use next?
4000-5000K 95 CRI is what I’m looking for.

SST-20s in 4000k from lumintop are pretty good. You can probably buy a board from them.

I don’t think you have much of a choice for high power CRI except for SST-20 LEDs - which is not a bad thing.

But if you don’t mind a little less CRI and can reflow LEDs, I really like the tint on my sliced Samsung LH351D CRI90 5000K (SPHWHTL3DA0GF4RTS6) LEDs. Or another choice would be 219C 4000K 90+ CRI LEDs.

Unfortunately you can’t use 219B LEDs due to the high output of the FW3A.

Iirc I think 219Cs also need the special limited fet software

I believe that is correct. May depend on the cell being used as I seem to recall something about triples being (maybe) okay, but not single emitters. ???

I also like the way my shaved 4000K LH351D’s look, even though they are only rated CRO90+

Sofirn has a decent batch of 4000k Lh351Ds. They ran out of 4000Ks for a while but restocked them a few weeks back and I grabbed one to test out. It looks like it has less green than the 4000K LH351D in my FC11 using their older stock.

I hear simon’s are quite green.

This is just my judgement by eye. It’s still a bit green but not the worst I’ve seen. Cough cough xhp50.2/70.2\

So, I temporary put LH351D 5000K 90CRI I had in the drawer. Much more light than SST-20, but little on greenish side.
Thanks for your input, I buy SST-20 again.
