hey guys!
since I own more than 10 lights now and I did some modding and reviews I want to share real numbers how much light comes out of that thingies…
please tell me one cheap Luxmeter which is known to give good results.
thanks

i have 2 of these
I have that one also and it is reliable. As a backup I also have a HS1010 and both meters are very close in their readings.
A lot of the cheap meters are of comparable quality, they are lineair and give readings that are not too far from each other. And they all are probably not following the luminosity curve well at the shorter and longer wavelengths, but that is not too much of a problem as long as you are not measuring colour leds or very cool or very warm white leds.
But don't worry about that, a luxmeter that does follow the official 'luxcurve' for all wavelengths costs 500 dollars upwards, that is hardly a price considering :-)
I own 2 meters, one is my factory calibrated extech (picked it up for <$100 NIB from a tool pawn place on Michigan and got such a good deal I had it shipped straight to the factory for certified calibration) which I use for lux measurements then I have a HS1010 that I disassembled and made it have a remote sensor that’s built into my light box. FWIW the HS1010 is always 100% repeatable, lights (with fresh cells) always read within 1% of their previous readings, I’m confident in my light box’s measurements from 6-4800Lm.
I picked mine up from ebay for $13 iirc. It does feel a little cheap quality-wise, but it seems to perform spot on, test after test.
