Which movie did you watch lastֻ

The Queen's Gambit (TV Mini-Series 2020) - IMDb was a thoroughly enjoyable 8 episodes series.

Wayne (TV Series 2019) - IMDb

Finally saw Tenet. I must say it was not bad. Felt a bit long, and not as good as Inception if that’s what you were/are expecting of it, but good nonetheless. I think I will have to watch it again (niaga) :stuck_out_tongue: however I did suspect what was happening.

Also about 1/2 way through The Queen’s Gambit. After episode 2 I’d thought to myself “I could stop here and I’d consider this done and be happy”, but I watched another episode and then wanted more…

Is QG finished, or is it an ongoing series?

If you mean are the 7 episodes all of them for the series, yes.
If you’re asking if there’s going to be more…
It’s supposed to be a limited/mini-series that’s now done, but you never know….

It’s Netflix’s turn to move

Actually watched this a couple weeks ago but forgot, until I found myself saying “Mistakes were made” this morning

Timmy Failure: Mistakes were made

Ok, so it’s sorta a kids movie, but there’s enough adult stuff that it’s good for everyone.

If you don’t find yourself occasionally saying “Mistakes were made” afterwards, there’s something wrong with you :stuck_out_tongue:

I love this camping movie.

Damn, I gotta get me one of those…

Yea me too….and I’d also like one of those campers… :open_mouth:

edit…to fix my “joke”

Camper hell, he was talking about the girl.

Arrival.

reminds me of Contact.

  1. female lead character.
  2. rogue sabotage.
  3. family drama.

personally, most movies (not sequels)
seem to be copies of other older movies.
the only one i have seen this millennium
which appears original is The Hangover.

I saw The Irishman (2019).

This movie is pretty good.

The acting is top notch, and the music is decent.

Despite being a very long movie, I didn't find it overly slow or boring.

The ending is kinda anti-climactic, and the film isn't super entertaining, but overall it's worth watching if you like mobster dramas.

I really appreciate the fine acting in this movie.

I just wish it were more exciting.

just watched “Repo Men”, about a company that repossess printed organs.

Tenet.

1. good guy: not one.
2. bad guy: the old lady Indian arms dealer from the future.
3. bottom line: “They muddy the water, to make it seem deep”.

Life in a year

great movie.

I saw Maniac (1980).

This movie is pretty bad.

The acting is bad, though the music is okay.

The main problem is that the film is not entertaining.

It's boring and really just a waste of time.

I say skip this one.

I saw Marriage Story (2019).

I really liked it.

The acting is superb, and the music is very good.

The script is also excellent.

I don't know a lot about divorce, but I think this movie probably depicts what divorce can be pretty well.

Because the movie is almost all drama, it kinda drags in places.

(I'm not a huge fan of pure dramas, though I do watch them.)

If you're in the mood for a good drama, check this one out.

Every time this thread appears on the home page I wonder about the last glyph in the title - tֻ

It looks like an ellipsis on an angle, but it’s not separate from the t so I assume it’s a diacritic. I’ve tried searching the forum and Google but I can’t find anything that matches. The closest thing I can find a reference to is the Arabic i‘jām, which I believe can be up to three dots below a character, but that doesn’t look right.

Can anyone tell me what the tֻ is?

The original poster kreisler hasn’t logged in to BLF for almost seven years, so I can’t ask them.

kreisler got banned, so unless he can answer with an alternate account, he won't be able to tell us.

I don't know what tֻ is, but it looks pretty cool.

Apparently it is a “Hebrew Point Qubuts”.

I think they’re just making up shiite…

Heh, every time I see it I think there’s dirt on my screen :stuck_out_tongue:

Just saw Color Out of Space

I had this movie for a while but kept putting it off because it just didn’t look that good. Then I saw a trailer with a scene that included Tommy Chong, who I hadn’t realized was in it, so I watched it just to see how he was in it.

I felt like the movie was trying to be kinda like one of those old Re-animator type Lovecraft movies but not so campy, but it’s been “Nicolas Caged”, is the best way I can put it. The other (Re-animator) movies are so bad they just become campy and fun. This…isn’t.

I think it’s trying to be better than it should be.
