Why didn't one of us think of this?

very smart

Well it’s not anything new….

…BUT IT’S SO FREAKING CUTE ON THAT KID!

Where does one get a strip of portable LED’s?

You can get EL wire from eBay. It would probably work even better than a led strip.

That looks super cool.

Real life stick figure, adorable.

nice :stuck_out_tongue:

EL wire can be dangerous if you’re going to wear it, the operating voltage is 80-120 volts.

Really cute and novel. I have seen local kids using “blinky-chase light” LED dog collars as part of their costume. Now here’s an annoying idea for an adult party costume; attach a dozen or so lights to your garden variety ninja suit then put all of them in strobe or SOS mode, gauranteed to get you noticed [and yelled at!].

Oh, clever. So you're thinking attach a handle to the back of a kid and use it as a flashlight. Interesting idea. It's quite cute, but it doesn't appear to have much throw.

I have one that runs on 2 AA batteries. How dangerous can it be?

Yeah, I think the battery pack has an inverter that boosts it up to 80-120VAC.

I guess I’m safe enough if I’m not going to abuse the pack

Most of us here couldn’t resist the urge to mod the kid, and all of the sudden we have a toddler running around with heatsinks attached, pushing out 600kcd at 10amps. Now you’ve got a toddler who can literally blind people at will.

THIS.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAA! 8)

Stop putting bright ideas in my head! J)

:D

Nah, man. You’d be surprised how far you can throw a kid! Especially if they’re yelling! Try it off an Interstate overpass, for better hang-time.

Edit: Just kidding! I know it’s not considered “hang time” when they’re plastered to an express bus!
