Does anyone know why there is a height/length difference between the pokelit ti crack and the other versions?
Because the CNC mill operator was on Crack?
I have the Green, Gray and the Squiggly Blue one you have here and the Gray one is shorter than the other 2.
So that Cracky one must really look giant if put next to the Gray.
All the heads are the same size.
Are the springs different on Crack model?
Unno. I’d side-by-side the heads, tubes, and tailcaps, and see where the more/less is coming from. Should narrow down the answer.
Head and tailcap seems to be the same size. But when i test the spring tension and battery-to-tube ration it is the same…
The Ti crack always starts on low, the others have mode memory, so maybe… i don’t know.
Probably they aren’t in the same straight line, and because of the angle and the lens of the camera… !?
Yeh, I noticed the modes. The 2AA Pokomon also starts on low (low/high, so not an issue), and the gray 1AA has modemem. My squiggly one also starts on low like the 2AA (low/med/high, so a little more tedious if I want to crank it up).
Could just stack 'em against a wall head-down and rest a ruler/pencil/etc. across the tops.
Nope, there is a measurable height difference. Best guess: ookelit without mode memory (starts on low) is taller.
Makes no sense.
Mode memory is a driver difference, either hardware or more likely just software.
The other Titanium Blue Squiggler finish is same size and it has no mode memory.
The battery tube is longer on your Crack model just as my Gray version tube is a small bit shorter.
Could be different factories involved. Or just production revisions.
I had a Ti blue squiggly one WITH mode memory. Seems like the manufacturing is inconsistent.
