Wich of this flashlight to choose? Eastward j01, Eastward j06, KD C8 CREE XML T6 1000 Lumen or UltraFire C8 XM-L T6 3-Mode LED

Hello everybody.

I must choose one of this four flashlights but i do not know:

I read all reviews here about eastward j06, j01 and KD c8.

Which is the best and why? (runtime, quality, power, flood and throw).

Hi xatu, I tried ordering the J01 in January and they emailed and said it wasn't in stock so I got the J06 instead. That may help narrow your choices.

I think it would be possible to narrow those down to two or three fairly easily. I think the two Eastwards are basically the same light in a different body - of those two I'd pick the one I liked the look of best. The J06 has a forward clicky which i do not like in a multimode light.

The J01/J06 are likely more throwy than the C8s. But I don't own a C8 of any sort so can't say.

The eastward j06 likes me at the moment but the Kaidoman C8 1000 lumens has a very well review here and it's more cheap.

The new question is now: Eastward J06 or Kaidoman C8 1000 lumens?

Given the 30% price difference, I'd probably go for the C8. I don't have it but the J06 (Which is very nice) is nearly 30% more. Both are good lights but it is a very personal decision as to whether the J06 is worth that much more. For me it is, for others it might not be. I'll try to do a full review of the J06 tonight which may help.

Yes, it's 30% price difference but that is about 5€, it doesn't matter, little money, it is only that i want choose the best. I have seen your Google Docs and the J06's power output is very good (although it could be better if it could drain more amps from battery). I like its design too.

I think that i will order the J06.

I have testet a KD C8 XM-L & a Manafont Ultrafire C8 XM-L, i don´t own a Eastward XM-L.

The KD C8 XM-L drives at ~3900mA.

The Manafont Ultrafire C8 drives only at 1400mA.

Best flashlight of this 2 are both LOL ....Manafont C8 XM-L + the driver from the KD C8 XM-L.

Because the manafont C8 has a SMO reflector and although a nice beam. I have put the SMO reflector in the KD C8, but the beam is not as good as in the manafont c8.

Then i put the driver from the KD c8 in the manafont C8 and....WOW, that´s bright!

But i think, the Eastward YJ J06 has a very nice beam. ;)

Yes, more flashlights xm-l and cheaper than Eastward j01 and j06. Too much flashlights!!! haha.

I have a question, who will be floodier Eastward j01 or j06? and thrower?.

Just checked again with a new decent cell (Well, it has maybe four cycles on it) and get 2.35A on high, 1.1A or so on medium.

Is it a good power for a xm-l this 2.35A?. I think the KD C8 gives more than 3A.

Don, if you recommend me the J06 with 2.35A i order today...

this means, that the KD C8 XM-L is the brightest flashlight in original condition.

but if you can chanche the driver, maybe other flashlight is brighter ;)

Oh God!. I don't know what can i do.

Eastward YJ J06 is pretty good and good looking for 32.70$ and the KD C8 seems good too and perhaps give more light on high mode and the price is 25.27$.

One of them must be the choosen, but i doubt even. Anybody have both to compare?

when you don´t chanche driver, i think, the KD C8 would be the best.

another interest.....for C8, there are more DIY parts as for other flashlights. (reflector, pill)

It isn't my plan modify the flashlight. Both are good, but in the google doc file from Don appers the Eastward J06 and produce much lumens if i compare with most of the file. Sadly nobody have the KD C8 and Eastward J06 to compare.

I have the J06 and I have the KD C8 on order but I have not received it yet. I'll be glad to let you know what I think when it arrives if you want to wait.
