I know those of you who love beamshots have got to have taken some that turned out "different" in some way from what we normally expect to see. If you have those photos, please share them. I'll give it a try starting this thread...
This is an incan light shining at a tree during an Arizona dust storm.
I see the link but not a photo embedded in the post that is visible without clicking the link. Did you try using the "Insert/edit image" option for posting photo's? You just have to insert the URL after clicking it and you should be good to go.
btw.. this reminds me of that dust storm you recently had that seemed to engulf the entire city. It appeared quite menacing from the video. You could see cars from far away getting swallowed up. Sorry.. I don't mean to go off topic.
This pic I was trying out my 4D Mag with an LED and Aspheric lens, shining it above my garage and on the right of the pic you can see a lightning bolt. That was pretty cool. Just wish I could have gotten a pic of the whole lightning bolt.
This beam shot I like to call "The Alien." It's an incan light with three LEDs around it. I was shining the light at the wall at about a 45 degree up angle and this is the pic I got. I didn't purposely try to make it look like this, it just turned out that way.
This is without a doubt the oddest beamshot I have ever taken. I took a cheap multi-LED light and put an Aspheric lens in front of it. Looks like a futuristic Disco club or something. LOL.
