Would you please sponsor me in a walk to help find a cure for blindness?

Hello again everyone. The VisionWalk to help find a cure for blindness is a week away. 5/6/12 @ 1pm. I am looking forward to walking in the event and I plan on getting pics to post here for the great folks here to see. Thanks again for all of the great help and support from the people of this great forum. :)

I hope you get good weather!

Ummm, someone from this forum just sent a rather large gift towards VisionWalk. I do not know who they are and no name was given, but there gift put the total given from this forum @ $500!!!. I do not know what to say, this is freakin' awesome and you guys rock. I am very happy to be a part of this forum and now I am even more excited. The people on this forum have given money that equals that of local hospitals in this area. That to me speaks volumes on what BLF has done for an event that means a lot to me.

Hello again everyone. The VisionWalk was great and the weather was freakin' awesome. It was 68 degrease and partly cloudy with 20ish MPH winds. I did not hear how many people walked but I did hear that $72000 was raised for this one event. Here are a few pics with links to all pics and video. :)

Congrats on doing the walk. Your daughter is a cutie too.

Yes, well done all who took part Glad you had a nice day for it, and thanks for giving us the chance to chip in. Was it really $72,000? That's awesome!

+1 on the cute kid :)

tell me about those sunglasses. I'm not sure I like the clear frame but the lenses are cool

Yep they said $72000 total raised from this one event alone over the DJ's PA. The sunglasses are the Oakley Fuel Cell series which come in all different colors and tints. I have very little peripheral vision so I look through the lens and do not notice the clear frame when wearing them. I have to move my eyes to "focus" on that to see it is there.

I just looked at some numbers on the VisionWalk. Walking On The Blind Side" was #27 in the top teams for money donations. Thank you for all that you did. The #1 team was Seeing Is BEE-leaving with a total of $7125.
