I was thinking about buying some batteries, but I am not sure where to try to buy them from. So, before I went and bought some new batteries from a shop, I thought I’d ask and see if anyone has any extra batteries that they might be looking to sell/trade.
I want to try to get some 18350, 18650, 21700 and 26650 batteries, if possible. Depending on the prices, I would like to try to get a few of each, if I can afford it.
I may also be interested in buying a charger for the batteries, as I currently only have the Sofirn chargers that come with their flashlights, or have to use one of my flashlights with built-in charging.
I also have a Luminop FW21 Pro that I might be willing to trade for some batteries, if the right deal presents itself. And I live in the U.S., in Arizona, for shipping purposes.
So, if you have some extra batteries and/or a charger that you’d be willing to sell, or trade, feel free to let me know. Thank you.
Selling used batteries presents a problem for the seller. There are very specific regulations about shipping Li-ion batteries and the consequences for ignoring them can be very expensive. The 18650 batteries I buy shipped by US mail always come double packed. There is a plastic case surrounded by foam and packed in a cardboard box. There is also labeling required for the outside container, specifying ground transportation. I’d buy new if possible as commercial shippers know what is required.
I was looking into the Tesla 21700s. I can’t convince myself to do it. Buying new is the best route, imho. In this way you know everything about the battery and won’t be risking damaging your lights/charger/hand/house with a bad cell!
