WTB - Quality Charger

Afternoon everyone,

Anyone care to offload a used charger at a reasonable price? I'd like to be able to check voltage with it. Just figured I'd ask before heading over to one of the retail sites.

Thanks!

Nah, pick up an Opus 3100 and be done with it. (Or a Zanflare, or…)

Of course it’ll take a month to get it, but… :expressionless:

Mountain Electronics and illumination supply are both us based and ship fast. Both have a great selection of chargers.

I just got the Liitkola Lii 500 and love the thing. It does all the best functions and best of all tells you the true capacity mAh of your batteries after charging. You’ll be surprised at the lies some battery manufacturers say about their junk. Get it or the Zanflare C4 or the Opus 3100. Which ever you can find the best code for. I got the Liitkola for $20 bucks, the Zanflare for $14. Regularly $40 bucks! I bought two using different accounts :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: (still in transit from China)

Litikala 500, search a bit and the full price is a few bucks more than what just shipping would cost most of us to send out an old charger.

Unfortunately US shipping dampens motivation to re-sell chargers in this price range.

Miboxer C4-12 has 3A each slot for fast charge
Automatic and manual selection of charge currents individually

If you don’t need more then one amp per channel, the Lii 500 is probably the best for the money.

Who has the Zanflare @ $14?
Good price.
Thanks

Keith

The Zanflare pops up @ $14 for about 0.0001 minute on one of the specials, for a few countries, and only if you are wearing red sox, a blue hat and have dentures. Find it for $24, buy it, and save yourself some grief even trying. It’s better than the Lii-500, barely, but it is.

Thanks y'all this was helpful!

I agree with the Lii-500 recommendations above. You can get them for just over $20, and they are well worth it. I may check out the Zanflare also, I could use another. Flydiver, what do you like about it better?

Internal resistance works, maybe a bit better than the Opus. Lii-500 does not, at least 3 I have tried did not. Seems a tad better built.
Functionally they are otherwise almost identical.
It’s a little bigger, which could be a plus or minus, depending on your perspective and needs.

Thanks. I will look into one soon. I couldn’t care less about the size.

There are some long threads on the problems with the Opus. Cool it > change the fan, and/or put it on a laptop cooling table or similar. Then change the power supply for at least 12v/5a, like a laptop PS. Then it works great and has more capability than the Zanflare or the Lii-500.

FWIW, if I’m charging a full 4-battery set I put AUX cooling on either my Zanflare or Lii-500 anyway. They are both LOWER POWER, so heat and a puny power supply are not as critical.

The Miboxer C4-12 I mentioned charges at 3A per slot, pretty much the highest rate you get right now

The 3A on the Miboxer is impressive. No fan so it does seem to heat up from HJK’s review: -

[The charger can charge 4 cells at 3A, but these cells is heated significantly. M1: 46,1°C, M2: 47,4°C, M3: 49,5°C, M4: 47,3°C, M5: 46,5°C, HS1: 63,4°C
Charging 18650 at 3A means the batteries will generate some heat.]

I tried to compare that to the Opus, which is cooler because of the fan, BUT, he’s only charging at 1A.

If I weren’t flush with one each of the other main contenders I’d probably get one. But, if I’m going to get another ‘bonus’ charger I’m going to get the 8-bay GyrFalcon All-88.

Point a desk fan at it.

Mine actually heats up so much that it reboots itself.
