Looking for a sub-lumen twisty if you have one you wouldn’t mind getting rid of.
Maybe the Nitefox K3 would work for you. Claims 0.1 lm low.
Available on Amazon, easy to return if you dont like it.
I forgot all about that one! I am skeptical of the accuracy of the output but you are correct about the no risk option. Thank you Jon I’ll give it a try.
I think it might be a Thrunite equivalent, in Fox clothing.. LOL
Im tempted to buy and try to mod to a warmer LED.. looks like the pill unscrews with tweezers, same as a Thrunite, Maratac, Tool..
please share your impressions of the low output, if you try it
It should be here in a couple days. It’s worth a $9 gamble I guess. Well if I can stomach the CCT/duv.
The Nitefox arrived today and the return process has already begun.
The driver has been changed from the design of previous reviews. The outputs according to the nomenclature are 5, 50 & 150 lumens. The 5 for Low is correct. I’m unsure of the claim of 150 for High and feel it may be a little lower than that. Medium and High also appear to be equal outputs but could be more different than I can detect without a meter. But regardless Medium is more than 50 lumens and High is less than 150 lumens.
The light from off starts on possibly High then Low then Medium but I’m not positive it could just as well be Medium then Low then High.
If it came on in Low and was even around 1 lumen I would have kept it as the XP-G2 was acceptable knowing what I was getting beforehand. A cool 5500-6000k without any green tint.
Therefore my search for a Ti3 continues.
