You may offer low if you like (assume your offer covers shipping and tax) but don’t expect me to respond if unimpressed.
Maybe you’ll get lucky, interest in more than one item will help get a lower price, but not horribly interested in selling the E07x or GT94 cheap. It’s not worth it to me to mail off less than $30 in stuff honestly
Convoy M21A “C8 version host with 17mm driver adapter”, 5 amps SST20 95 cri FB4, heavily used, lens scuffs/scratches but nothing deep, poorly modified with a different switch cause forward sucks, so clicking takes some more work, and been dropped a lot) - $20 - can do 15 if combining other stuff (retail 28)
I would assume around 750 lumens out the front, you can shoot coons from 120 yards…
Convoy S2+ 3200ma SST20 FB4 - like new $15
E07x SST20 FA4 - 80, not going to budge unless I really really need money or you buying more stuff
(CS gim on left - 160, functional and sharp, sorry had to throw that in there!)
I also have an unused 14x14 Guide Gear Teepee Tent ETP3-1414. $120 (retails around 160+tax, shipping calcs tell me it’s a whopping $43 minimum in the sample area code I used)
Thread/signature will be updated as items are sold (not only listing here).
Not trying to be critical, so please take this as just an opinion and advice. And I wish you success in your sales. However, typically used prices are anywhere from 65 to 75% of new, not 85%. But still I wish you good luck!
Well, you are selling something used. The price someone pays is based on the price of the item new - the perceived cost of shipping plus waiting plus the differential of whether people feel you are honest. Remember, we don’t know you.
So as you can see, when you sell something whether it’s new or used, the buyer determines the price , not you.
We dont know what he paid for them. Assuming he got them at the lowest new price a light has ever sold for 15 percent off might not be bad. The original post comes off a little angry, like if I dont like your offer I won’t respond. Maybe he’s having a bad day. Or a bad year. Or maybe he didn’t mean it that way at all. I dont know.
Rather than give him a hard time, let’s try to help out a little.
Here is how to sell flashlights:
List the flashlight, the condition, and all accessories as well as a price. For example:
BLF GT94, like new condition. Includes 8 sony vtc6 button top batteries and all original accessories. $450 firm. USA only.
If you want to shoot a lowball offer in the dark you’re welcome to do so, but all I see here is spam with no offers so far.
I’m not hurting for money, and the lights don’t really take much room.
The logic on the price -> you don’t have to wait 1-2 months on shipping, or spend 30-40 to expedite and still end up waiting 2 weeks anyways because China shipping is lovely
The irony, I got called rude for lowballing someone…
Having done my own sale i get the appeal of not posting numbers, you want to maximize your sale prices but people respond better to having a price to weigh against the item.
Also 85% won’t sell many lights, unless its a rare light that has kept its value or you happen across someone who really wants that light and is willing to pay.
Finally some lights you can’t sell at any price, even free (before shipping).
Fireflies almost never offer discount outside of that 20% on the first buck driver models and are not available from 3rd party chinese vendors at lower prices. With their QC issues, you basically want to know what you’re getting beforehand…
The ebay dealer basically charges like 10%$10 shipping or something like that!
Your attitudes make me not want to sell to you… except I don’t think politics and mercantile mix. I spent a lot of money on the hobby, and I don’t especially need money for anything right now. The ammo I had the gun shop consign will bring in a huge sum and probably sell quick, the flashlights are nothing next to that lol
I know and don’t expect to sell instantly like this. I personally would have been happy to buy this stuff used –15% as long as it has no major problems
You can quote and rationalize all you like, and you are free to use whatever price structure you wish, i can only tell you that my experience on BLF is that you need to offer competitive pricing. Members here know what the prices of lights are, this is not facebook or ebay
I have a few lights left that are priced at a fraction of what they cost new, one at 10% of the new price if i remember correctly, its not selling.
Here is my sales thread, you can see what each light sold for.
Only a few went for full selling price and most lights were not originally priced near the original price.
Finally i get that we are telling you what you don’t want to hear, we are not out to annoy or undermine you, we are telling you what we know, in many cases from experience. Instead of fighting with us you can learn from us, we are offering you free wisdom that is worth more than you are paying for it.
Another variable: What are the norms of the place where the item is listed for sale?
Somewhere on this planet, there is a place where flashlights are offered for sale, and the rules stated that price must be listed, and the rules also stated to keep the replies to serious inquiries only, no chat discussion.
At yet another location, price may not be required to be posted, and all kinds of discussion is ok to ensue that clutters the sale thread.
If the price were listed as X amount of dollars or best offer, there would be a lot less clutter discussion.
But if the price is indeterminate, there will be lots of clutter discussion, just about that.
By the way, the BLF GT94 is a top performing power thrower, with huge performance that comes along with a large light. If I didn't already have two of them, I would be tempted to attempt to get this one.
