I recently purchased the Wurkkos FC11C after doing some research online and landing on that one as being a solid flashlight for the price. Initially, I loved it and had 0 complaints. But over time I’ve noticed that the button has become progressively worse and worse at registering input. It will physically and audible make a click when I press it but right now it’s about 50% hit or miss whether it will register. Pressing extremely hard seems to always register a hit but it’s very unnatural for me to press that hard so I don’t have the muscle memory to do it every time, and given this sort of progressive degradation of the button with light use, I imagine pressing harder will only accelerate the worsening state of the button.
Has anyone had this happen and is there anything I can do? I’m really disappointed in this flashlight right now if this isn’t a one off thing.
Weird, i have both a fc11 and fc12 alot older then yours and no problem with button. Either way thats a warranty issue that they should hopefully resolve quickly.
I didn’t reach out to Wurkkos, I figured it made more sense to talk to people who are experienced with these flashlights and see if it was a common problem. I’m guessing it isn’t based on the replies. Hopefully it was just a one off thing for me. I did peel back the rubber pad exposing the circuit board with the soldered on switch and even when I physically press that switch directly and get it to mechanically click, sometimes it doesn’t register to the flashlights system so it’s definitely something wrong. Having said that, getting this rubber piece back under the aluminum is really hard lol
