this firmware uses Last Mode Memory, I like that it does not use Manual Memory, nor Hybrid memory.,
In stock configuration, the clip goes below the head. This is not useful. I flip the body so the clip ends up below the tailcap and allows me to carry in a pocket head down.
The magnet is too weak for horizontal use. SOLVED by adding a magnet under the spring. fwiw 12x1.5mm magnets are available on Aliex
The HD10 weighs 13 grams more than the TS10. With battery that is 27% heavier. The HD10 head is a bit larger, and the light is a bit longer than my TS10:
flashing pads are reversed and hard to see to get lined up but worked to create a backup with my personal options changes:
set battery blinks to Red
set Aux to Red
disable POVD, Turbo, and smooth steps
change stepped ramp (both simple and advanced) to 12 steps
set all ceilings to 110 = 280 lumens, DUV of ceiling 110 is 0.0051 (ceiling 120 = 407 lumens, ceiling 130 = 565 lm)
set all floors to 5 = 0.06 lumens
The HD10 has the benefit of built in USB charging, which makes it a total package with no need for a separate charger.
for me, not bad because on the original run, which had a chalky surface finish, I polished the MAO to remove the chalky surface.
I find MAO comes clean when wiped with alcohol, and it holds less dirt when it does not have a chalky finish
The most recent TS10 MAO and HD10 MAO that I have received, arrive with a less chalky surface than the first run…
They dont hold dirt as much as the first run. And they still clean up with alcohol if they do get dirty.
“From the cross-sectional morphologies the ceramic coatings consisted of an outer porous layer and an inner dense layer, as shown in (b,d, and f). With the increasing of MAO duration, the thickness of the ceramic layer increased”
I got today (2025-03-03) an orange HD10
Wurkkos included a second additional ø11,2mm x 1,7mm magnet
(Edit: it’s not a simple two sided one, it is a thin magnet with a metall cup, so the forces have one direction)
The included HD10 Clip is too wide for the olight Perun 2 mini headband, but the new black TS10 Clip fits in the holders grove.
My TS10 black clip ist just a hair shorter than the HD10 battery cap, which makes a good deep carry, bezel down. Or you swing the clip to the front and clip it a shirt pocket or the collar of a T-Shirt for hand free use without a headband.
I would recommend to buy the BLACK TS10 clip (the silver one is the wrong one)
Yes, I know, but when you want to use the Headband from the Olight Perun 2 mini the standard clip is still too wide. The holder has a grove and TS10 clip can stay on the lamp and you have no chance to misplace it.
The MAO arrived today. I don’t think I like the feel of MAO in my hand. The surface is not chalky, but matt smooth and slows a bit down when stroking it. I would still prefer a normal silver anodisation.
And an interesting difference: The orange HD10 has red AUX light on High (after Lightning) and Police blink in the strobe modes, the MAO has only Police.
Both lamps have a Top of the Ramp blink.
(The firmware version for both is: 0173 Flicker 0 Flicker. No Date! The flickers are the minuses?).
The black TS10 clip is a hair longer than the end cap and the end does not make full contact because the lamp is slightly tilted. A 1/8 turn of the end cap makes it stand straight. I think I will put a wire in the end to get a few tenths of a millimetre.
It didn’t come with a second magnet and the normal one is about half as strong.
I think I should talk to @Wurkkos_Terry about the missing second magnet.
mine did not come with a secod magnet
yes the HD10 Firmware is 0713-0-
I dont use the clip, but you be like to try flipping the body to try using the clip on the other end:
