I picked up a few of these on Amazon last week when they were $15 with 3000m battery. Unbelievable deal.
Nice review.
Thanks man, $15 is a great deal. Would make nice presents too.
Makes you wonder what they’re up to when the UK Amazon price works out at over $50 and Aliexpress can’t better £43.70 ($56).
Amazon UK has 40% off voucher until Sunday drops it down to £23.99 if that helps anyone?
Thanks for your review Darren!
Honestly, I think that this may be a good “all around” light, but in no way I would call it “semi-tactical” or “best value budget EDC”. But this is a perspective (mine), of course!
If you don’t use it for a while and pick it up thinking that you’ve left in the highest level, but you didn’t, and insted you get the lowest, how does that qualify as (semi) tactical? I wouldn’t say that just because it remembers the last used mode if you turn it OFF/ON quickly.
In a (semi) tactical light you would want, at least in my perspective, to know in which level it starts when you turn the light ON, or you can choose in which level it starts (in some way).
Also, the UI seems so…“ordinary” that an even more budget Convoy S2+ can give you more configuration options (levels, order of levels, memory, led, switch, TIR/reflector, etc) that this light. They just don’t have a charging port…
I’m not denying the value of this flashlight, but I would be careful attributing some of these things to a very normal flashlight such as this one.
But I would like to thank you for showing this flashlight and what it does
And I like the design
Thank you for your suggestions and comments man. I wasn’t sure what to call it, as it looks like a tactical light but doesn’t have the UI of one… And no momentary mode either. Thought this would be a shorter version of the FC12. Anyway, Wurkkos is great with feedback so hopefully they’ll take this on board for their next model. This light would be fine for general purpose as a beginner.
